When you go, I highly recommend doing the walk on the path they have around the museum. And when you get to the point where it says you can either stay on the interactive path or get off and follow the other one, follow the other one(as long as you're with people who are prepared to climb a little, ie not little kids/grandparents). Great walk. And keep your eyes peeled for cactus, its all around there. That blew my mind!

I really need to go there again. Last time I went was in the early 90's on a school field trip.

RTM is one of the best museums in the country.
Incidentally, last time I was there a couple of summers ago I saw Maher Arar and his family enjoying the exhibits. Given his $10million and the inability to travel outside of Canada, I'm sure they're seeing lots of what the country has to offer.

I'm sure there must be. Dinosaur fossils are big and heavy and after you pilfer the best ones back to your favourite museum (a tradition traced back to Andrew Carnegie and the Cope and Marsh expeditions), you don't have much choice apart from leaving the rest where you found them. I know Paul Sereno is trying to get the government of Niger to build a dinosaur museum there to house all their fossils; I'm not sure it's the top item on their agenda.

Of course cactus never existed in the time of the dinosaurs, but it is a good way of keeping children out of exhibits.

Big Valley Creation Science Museum
http://bvcsm.com/
Built from the foundations up, for the glory of the Creator,
to display the evidence of his handiwork and refute the lie of evolution.
Our "Terrible Lizards" display. Dinosaurs were one of God's greatest creations (Job, chs. 40 & 41).
The "Dinosaurs and Humans" display shows considerable evidence that not only did dinosaurs exist recently, but that humans existed with them. This evidence is fatal to the evolutionary dogma which has dinosaurs extinct at least 60 million years before humans evolved.

I should mention that the Canadian Museum of Natural History in Ottawa has some good dinosaur stuff as well, not as good as the other museums listed but alright. Apart from the fossils, it has some good classical dioramas. Again, not quite as good as the American Museum but IMO they are the highlight of the American Museum (as immortalised in Sheryl Crow's "If It Makes You Happy" video).
