I fully and whole heartedly support this casting decision!
Every geek's dream:
... as for a casting decision for The Riddler, I would definitely give Jim Carrey another shot at that role.

I was unaware they had agreed on another film. Anyways, cant go wrong with a scantily clothed and whip-wielding Megan Fox.

Is Nolan turning into Michael Bay or something?
Further iterations of this series are doomed to go downhill anyways. Batman Begins was awesome because it was the gritty somewhat realistic look at his origins, and Dark Knight was awesome because of Ledger's performance as the Joker.
Megan Fox is hot but there's no way I consider her an actress with any ability. Beyond that, I'm not even sure what other characters in the Batman universe are even going to be remotely interesting, there's no way Joker will be topped. They can't really develop the character of Batman much more. Its just going to become a huge money making sequel, with larger than life special effects and a lesser quality script. I think this one will be more like the old Batman with Schwarzenneger as Mr. Freeze.

Yikes. No doubt a casting decision like this will lead to an extra $100M domestic gross, but it is not good news for the integrity of the franchise.

Nothin can be like that.

Nolan has plenty of integrity and will do this right or at least attempt to. I don't think anything could top the Joker, so what, they should just stop making Batman movies??

A lot of people were bewildered and angered by Heath Ledger's casting in the Dark Knight.

The movie hasn't even been filmed but you're already dogging on the integirty of the franchise?? Jesus. At least wait for the trailer, or you know, maybe watch the movie before you jump to conclusions.

Maybe they should. Why do they need to keep making sequel after sequel? How many Batman movies have been made now? I think Nolan has integrity too, and I think it'll be a good attempt..but sometimes it seems that these huge movies get sequels just for the sake of making a sequel, because they know its a cash cow.

Heath Ledger took on a few more serious roles before Dark Knight. Has Megan Fox? I don't think there's any way we can deny that casting decision is all about the T and A effect. These studios know what brings in the $$$.

Yeah, not a fan of this. I'd rather see a proven actress in the role over someone who's made a career thus far as eye-candy. Maybe she's got as yet untapped acting ability, but it should be demonstrated in smaller films first, rather than risking ruining the integrity of the best franchise currently going.
Eva Green would have easily been my top choice: excellent actress, hot, and with a gorgeous husky voice that would have been perfect for catwoman, but there's a whole whack of talented young actresses out there who would have been a better fit for the role and the franchise.

I don't think I can have an opinion on this until I see Ms. Fox in a Catwoman outfit so I can judge the aesthetic effect properly. A private showing in my home would probably be best.

I highly doubt this movie's villain is going to be Catwoman. She's way too campy for the direction Nolan has been taking this franchise.

If they want to cast a woman's role, I say Talia Al'Ghul would be the best character to bring in.
Or, as a bad guy in general... Bane.

To me she's too young and too clean cut looking. If your going to Nolanize catwoman, she has to have the look of a herpes riddled 42 year old prostitute with a big a$$ and a tattered outfit.
She thinks she's a cat because she referred to her female genitalia on "dates" to often and believed that she was was a cat when a rough trick named Jim dropped her out of the 8th story window of the Stampeder hotel on the rough east side of Gotham city.
She needs greasy blonde and grey hair, and pock marks on her face from various diseases and child hood acne, she needs to wear heavy lipsticks and mascara behind a mask thats more gimp then old style catwoman.
Oh and she needs a woman sidekick named miss kitty who's a repressed lesbian.
Or not repressed depending on the rating of the movie that they're going for.

Bane wouldn't work in this universe.
I actually just hope they recast the Joker. I wouldn't bet on it but I'm sure they're thinking about it.
Hush would also work pretty well too.
The key to a successful film is having a psychological connection between Batman and the enemy. That's why I don't really like the idea of the Riddler. He's pretty campy and not malicious enough. There needs to be that real feeling on dread and horror. That's why the Dark Knight worked so well. You only really capture that with a couple enemies.
Which is why I bet they're evaluating whether they'll recast Joker because he's perfect to create that fit.

Can they recast Batman? Every time he talked, it was a howler.
