What a terrible article. It opens with the line "most people hope Jenkins is rotting in hell"?

Shameful.

The guy is disgusting.

Mutilating a woman like that so she cannot be identified, only to forget that implants have serial numbers.

Is this guy the poster boy for the 5 popped collared ###### bag or what.

My mom knew his Dad, and met Ryan at one point.. that's the extent of it. His dad wanted to buy my mom's Sunnyside property to build condos.

Anyways, the guy looks like the person I don't want to be, all this money, with fake friends, addictions, ect.. Chances are, If you're born into money, you think you can have whatever you want at any time. Clearly Fiore wasn't giving him what he wanted.

Wow, just had a sudden recollection of a psycho xboyfriend a girl I dated had. Thought the name was Ryan. He stormed into her house once, waited for her outside the gym, would follow her around and threaten her.. wondered if this is the same guy. Anyone know if Ryan Jenkins ever worked for Avison Young?

I feel sorry for the father, I really do, he lost a son and no father should outlive his kids. But at some point he's going to have to reconcile himself with the fact that he raised a monster, and thats going to be an even harder journey for him.

I really don't think he should have talked to the papers so quickly, he came across as a bit callous.

The worse part is reading the daily updates as his mother comes to grips with everything.

Yesteday, she was proclaiming his innocence.
Today, she's saying he went crazy.
Tomorrow, she'll realize that he's done some evil things.

Ultimately though, both families should be allowed to grieve in private. The media needs to put the microphones away. The only thing it is doing now is serving the pathetic nature of people who want to watch people suffer.

I agree with this, I feel terrible for the victim and her family. But I also feel awfull for Jenkins parents, but a small part of me wonders how much they knew about his behaviour.

There's knowing your child has a history of slapping women around, but honestly, it's a stretch to think that he's capable of killing someone. I know the connection in hindsight is crystal clear, but how many people do you know that have had a fight, yelled or pushed a woman? Too many, I'm sure, are they capable of murder? Probably not.

I think most parents if they knew the behaviour would probably reason with themselves that it isn't as bad as it appears if you know what i mean..or to go as far as to deny there is even a problem.

It probably happens quite abit. Most parents don't want to admit it to themselves because to them i think in there mind they did something wrong in raising the kid..

I'm not sure that parolee has much to do with it other than shedding more light on the relationship between her and Ryan. He went to the prison as soon as he heard about her being killed and told them everything, they didn't know there was a connection between the two, so they weren't even looking for him.

BUT, that would be nuts if this guy had something to do with it. It doesn't specify why he was arrested, that would be interesting, unless I'm missing something.

Rumours have it that Jenkins was being played:

"Our news is reporting that they found a lot of evidence in Michael cardosi's home that outline her relationship with Jenkins.
They are implying that she and cardosi were using Jenkins for money and that she may have already been married to the Cardosi. If not married already, they had plans for marriage.
He was convicted for felony evasion and drugs."

Doesn't change the likely-fact than Jenkins went off the deep end, likely after he found out. But does add an element of poke-an-old-dog-so-many-times-before-you-get-bit. (And not saying she deserved to die at all - Just updating on motive)

That is the million dollar question....but hey you really don't know how you would handle a situation until you experience it...I don't believe for a second that i would kill or hurt anyone..but heck YOU never really do know..
