Time to start playing around with the new sim
Gang I've uploaded the new GM editor so you can download it and start to play around with it.
The software is a zip file posted:
http://cphl.calgarypuck.com/download...ient-1-1-5.zip
And you also have to download the roster file:
http://cphl.calgarypuck.com/download/CPHL1.sts
You'll notice rosters aren't entirely updated - I'll do that soon and also provide you with some other direction in terms of some things you need to do before we get the season rolling.
The site will also be updated so the roster links go to this new stuff.
For the time being though I just want everyone to start to play around with the new sim and see how you do. If anyone runs into major problems/questions please post them here. Remember we are all learning this together.
Questions?

You need to have installed the STHS Support Files before running this program.
The STHS Support Files can be download from the STHS Website at http://sths.simont.info/Download_En.php
Thank you.

Fixed my problem! I'm all set!
For your problem, download the support files through winzip on the link that you provided.
This one:
Support Files to Run the STHS - Manually Installation : Extract and run the setup corresponding to your operating system. I recommend running the Automatic Installation with the Windows Installer. - Last Update : 2007-01-17

Dang. This sim is NUTS! So many more options then the old one. I can't really do much right now since it says my roster is incomplete hence I can't go through the lines tab but it's still a neat SIM.

Why is your roster incomplete? I still have guys on my team from the end of last season, you should be able to get some lines going

Done playing around with the SIM. Good job on switching to this one Grant. More features (like choosing when the goalie gets pulled and choosing if you want to play a physical, defensive or offensive game! I really like that option). Seems pretty easy to navigate. Good call on switching to this one.

Nice, I played around with it and you can export coaches ratings to XLS so if you wanna check out coaching ratings click Help -> Output ratings CSV. Not sure if these are updated or not but its interesting to check out.

Yeah pretty neat stuff in there. You can also designated your captains and assistant captains directly in the sim.
Pretty rad.

Yikes those coaching ratings are pretty bad, guess it's time to start firing the coach's. No sense being a guinea pig and behind the 8-ball all year for nothing
at the moment I'll be better of with Greg Gilbert or Trent Yawney

"runtime error 713
need to install msstdsft.dll"
otherwise I'd have to buy something with windows. Whos got a spare laptop kicking around? lol.

Well it has been 3 years since Sutter coached, but ya it does look like he needs to be tweaked a bit

Overall great stuff, 100% improvement so far
didn't mean to rain down a bit on the coach's.. I was just taken back quickly and it was my panic that responded, I knew the new SIM would take into account the coaching and set my team around Darryl's strengths. I a quick panic I was trying to figure out a way to now acquire a new coach within the rules that lead the team now that Darryl can't
new sim, new quirks, it's all be worked out in the end
