I wonder how long he was in Hope before deciding to kill himself.
If he was there for more than 24 hours, he may have set a record.

You actually put together your own fashion mags in your spare time?
Man. You're even gayer than I thought.
Edit: This probably deserves a smiley face so it comes across as a friendly jab rather than rude:

I once worked with a guy called Spuzzum. When I asked him how he got the name, he said "it's because I'm beyond Hope". You see Spuzzum is the next village up the canyon beyond Hope. We even have a poster here called Spuzzum.

Sad news.
Also too bad that the actions of the past week now define his life. He was a son and a friend to people - and it is sad he went off the deep end.
Obviously it is also sad for the Jasmine's family who lost their daughter.

From what I've read, this doesn't really define his life, it puts an exclamation point on it. Apparently he's always been a violent ######bag who got off on assaulting women.

You are making my point. In the last week, the news that has come out about him has now defined him. I only saw one report from his former fiancee of 2.5 yrs saying how great he was and she never saw any violent, abusive side to him.
Dude had issues, and obviously some more recently. But I don't think we are in a position to judge about the prior charges without knowing the details.
I am sure his friends and family will remember him how he was, and not who he became.

How about prior convictions? His last week was merely an escalation of the traits that already defined his life. What's changed now is that the whole world knows he was scum rather than just the people he abused.

I am surprised Resolute that you are one so quick to throw stones and to judge another.

I'm not one to forgive those who abuse or murder women very easily.
It's a character flaw I will happily live with.

But you do not know the backstory behind the prior "incidents". His fiancee of 2.5 yrs defends him, but you believe the police report and freely call him a "violent ######bag who gets off on asaulting women". Maybe, just maybe, there is more to those stories than you know.
As for his actions lately - yes, psycho is about right. But sad nonetheless for all parties involved.

Wonder if the police are going to look hard for the woman that was seen in his company on Friday with alberta plates.

Yeah, I read that she was making fun of him and humiliating him all night and there was eventaully a big blow out.
If he hadn't tried to cover it up, he could have probably made a case for 2nd degree murder and maybe could have plead down to manslaughter with the way the legal system works.
