Yes, Shaw offers HBO Canada. I don't have it right now, but will subscribe to it once Dexter returns.

Dexter is on Showtime, but it is party of the MC package.

HBO canada is also available in HD on channel 226 on shaw (I think).

I had no idea The Pacific was even coming out, let alone being made. Sweet jesus in the morning. This just made my month.

But don't you get HBO with the MC package? How much is it, 15 bucks a month? I guess I'd just have to watch 3 movies per month to male it worth it.

Buying an HDPVR might just be one of the best purchases EVER. Easily makes having all those HD channels (and movie ones) worth it.

Yeah I have the HDPVR, but my problem is I would record movies left and right, and then never watch them. I should give it a go again actually. There is absolutely squat to watch on TV during the summer.

i think you've got Popeye and Shifty confused. Popeye was the one that got shot in the ass on d-day, Shifty was one of the only ones to never get a scratch on him

The next Band of Brothers "The Pacific" will be airing next year. I have no link, but I'll try and find one.

No one interested? I am watching the preview now on HBO Canada. Looks even more epic than the first (flame throwers!), coming 2010 it said.

There I added the preview trailer?

And further proof: http://www.hbocanada.com/thepacific/

The first one made it memorable was because of characters like Winters, Spiers, Malarkey, Lipton, and so on. These guys made you care about them and it enhances the feel knowing that they are based on real characters.

I really hope Pacific can live up to that image.

Looks good to me.
As a Marine, I've always felt that the efforts in the Pacific were overlooked by many casual observers of American history. Hopefully this will expose more people to that theatre of WWII.

Yeah I dont know if its gonna be based on real people that fought real battles. Thats what I love about Band of Brothers, all these characters existed in real life and fought alongside eachother.

Thank you for your service. HOORAAAHHH!

But I think the pacific theater gets overlooked more because most americans/canadians were from europe. Thats why they do more of that plus hitler is a fun ###### bag to watch loosing over and over again.

Folks,

A new Pacific Trailer out, confirming the March 2010 release in the US.

http://www.hbo.com/events/pacific/video.html

It's the first clip. The second one is the trailer posted long ago.

5 more months until I need an HBO subscription.

I have Wildbill Guarner's autograph. I always thought that when cbc had their
"Greatest Canadian" show that it should have been the "Unnamed Soldier" who should have won greatest Canadian.
