Went there this noon. Going there was ok but leaving the mall was the problem. The traffic wasn't that bad at the time. My friend went there later in the evening and said that it was really bad. Don't think I'll be going anytime soon. It's a nice mall with a whole lot of shops but the deals were not that really great.

CP to the rescue:

1. Plug in the earpiece
2. Open media player and play something
3. Press pause.
4. Open the camera and shoot!

The camera sound is now played through the earpiece rather than the speaker.

No excuses anymore

I can't believe how bad traffic is still on the QE II. Went to Airdrie today and it was backed up 6 KM in the right hand lane turning into the mall. Why was the mall allowed to open with only ONE exit onto Deerfoot. What a gong show.

Friend of mine came down to visit and mentioned the same thing. NB Deerfoot is backed up to the Stoney Trail construction site.

I wonder just how many people are actually taking the Simons Valley Road-566 or RR284/RR290-566 routes to get in?

I heard on the radio today that the Deerfoot was backed up all the way to 16th Ave. That is crazy. I am actually somewhat interested in checking out this mall, but it isn't worth the traffic to do so. I'll wait a few months for things to get less crazy. Maybe years if that is what it will take to have better access.

Or just take the picture right when they're looking at you. Then say thank you and walk away. Then when your being run after, run faster. Easy.

Deerfoot was a gongshow at 1:30. Backed up all the way to Airport Trail, thanks to a couple accidents. They said it was taking a half hour to get from Country Hills to the city limits. Just insane. I was trying to get to Airdrie, and ended up taking Symons Valley Road to Big Hill Springs Road. It was faster.

I was trying to describe this mess to a buddy of mine in Florida. I ended up showing him on a map to give him perspective.

Basically, red is where the roads were at a standstill, based on the traffic reports. Green is how I got around it... which wasn't easy since the f'ing exit ramps from Country Hills to Beddington were also closed.

Bloody insane.
