Is RR284 just past the ring road extension if you're heading east on Country Hills BLVD, or is that too far east? I took 566 East from the back of the mall, and turned off a gravel road. I think it was the 3rd right. I live in Saddleridge and would prefer not to take Hwy2 up there.

I would say Pro life is better. Although, I went to the one on 130th, but they have basically the same selection. That shooting zone is awesome, the machine gives you Phaneuf-esque passes.

I think it should be OK if you head out around 6pm.

If it's open, I don't know why you wouldn't take RR290 (84 Street in Calgary) instead... a little closer.

That's one of the recommended routes on the CrossIron Mills website.

Is the parking lot THAT big that you are still walking to your car?

Cross Iron was waaaaaaay over hyped in my opinion. Bass Pro is the best store there for my needs, one or two stores that are cool like the Oakley Vault and a Quicksilver store but at the same time they are selling things that I could find at any other mall. Hockey Life is huge and sweet.

I was under the impression it was going to be an outlet mall, which it is not at all. There is a handful of outlet stores but even those do not compare to some of the outlet malls I have been to before.

Like I said very very over hyped and very very disappointing.

They also have that mini rink in the middle of the store that you can try skates on and get a feel for the equipment. Not real ice but close enough...A pretty good sale on a few of the sticks also...It is actually worth the drive out vs going to 130th.

Yes it is. There are signs the whole way. It was so much quicker.

Yeah, I picked up a Reebok O-stick today. It's usually $239.99, on sale sale now for $99.99

I gathered that, but really, why go a few km out of your way? as far as I know, RR290 is no better or worse than RR284, though evidently I am mistaken in that belief.

Someone must've taken down the sign on 566, because I didn't see anything. The only sign was the one at the traffic lights on Cross Iron Blvd just before turning on to 566.

I just came home from Calgary today and my sister wanted to go to the Balzac mall after work so I went with her. We got there around 7 and took us around 2 hours to walk around the mall stopping here and there. It was a pretty incredible mall. Not the greatest I've seen, but definitely one of the best in Alberta.

But BOY OH BOY. Getting out was the worst time of my life. Just getting out of the parking stall was trouble. I was in the same spot for 20 minutes... literally. After moving one car lengths, I was there for another 20 minutes. It took me a little less than 3 hours to get home and I live in the NW. Smart of y'all to have waited or gone earlier in the day.

And by 'nicer' do you mean 'more recently showered and less dreadlocked/stoned'?
