Parking lot looked pretty busy at about 7:40 this morning. There was no line up on the highway or any traffic congestion at all actually, heading north or south.

and what? Kelly Hrudey hosted the opening ceremonies? hahaha I wonder if he went all homerific and said how much better West Ed is?

8:56 a.m.: (R. Remington) Eight minutes to opening. Lost mall employees ask at the information desk for directions to their store. One lap around the mall is 2.7 kilometres. They better hurry.

BUT, Darryl would lose God status if he showed up to this.

A funny Darryl story from my buddy who is an usher at the dome:
A few years ago there were some Euro prospects (not Flames property) in seats on the first level at the Dome and Darryl went to go talk to them. Darryl said: "uh, so, Canadian chicks, pretty hot, eh?"

I posted a comment on the Herald site wondering if the photographer knew about the awesome irony in having the WINNERS sign over top of that line.
But it never seemed to show up

Would someone please ask him what his skate size is? We need to put an end to this question, once and for all!

I always thought the term "outlet mall" was the stores have no middle man, therefore they sell things for cheaper. I went down to Florida a few weeks ago and they had tons of Outlet Malls and most things were 50% off what you would pay normally.

The opening of a shopping mall being turned into this kind of 'event' depresses me.
