I'll second that concern. And I'll also support having Stang and IgiTang as alternates in case somebody bails or doesn't live up to their commitment.

Thanks for the support, but that would mean I would be taking over someones team rather than picking my own?

A large portion of the fun in pools is picking your own teams.

Fair enough, but IMO, there are people who have been here longer and should be the priority. We have proven that we arent going anywhere.

i think it should be a first come first served type of deal. How do we know someone with 10 million posts will be more reliable than someone with 5?

a good example is the CP SW softball team, there is people with 50 posts, that doesnt mean they wont be committed.

Just like the Annual Red Deer Hockey game... Spots left but more "Senior" CP's got a shot before I did. Subsequently, I didnt get to go because people had been here longer and had contributed more. I had to suck it up.

And no, we arent talking about returning participants, this was regarding 1st timers.

* I wont be pissed if I dont get in, but I would like to take part and it would suck if I lost out to someone with 5 posts on this board.

Yeah, I think it has to be first come first served alright. But I don't see anything wrong if a someone wants to be a reserve in case one of the 30 fails to deliver. I understand where IgiTang is coming from in saying that it's no fun inheriting a team someone else has picked, but I suspect that anybody who is not fulfilling their commitment will be apparent fairly early in the draft.

I don't want to take sides and get into a battle on this though, so I'll leave it at that.

rajaboporai never said he wanted in, just that he wanted Calgary. So until he confirms that he takes Nashville, they are available. Stang can have them unless he declines, then next priority goes to igitang.

arloiginla I say you get it ready because it should be pretty easy to find 2-3 people to fill the spots if needed. There is already two extras confirmed.

I don't think post count should matter, should be first come, first serve. Everyone needs to start somewhere.
