Default Hockey Pools???

Im looking for a fun hockey pool this year. Can someone suggest a more relaxed pool for me to checkout?

If anyone has one going on and hasnt started their draft and need another person, hit me up.

BTW, im looking for online pools only as I will be all over the country this year.

I find Yahoo's pools to be the best run, and most addictive. You can start your own, but the public pools are just fine.

I've tried a couple of pay pools, but I lose interest because of the format. Yahoo's free, and very well constructed. You have to join the competitive rather than fun leagues though, as the fun leagues experience lots of attrition over the course of a season.

The CP Live In-Person draft will probably be held the first weekend of the season at Pete's Pub.

I would love to get in on that, but I leave on the 26th of Sept. for 3months to Quebec, back in Calgary for a week then Halifax for 5 weeks, then to Esquimalt for 26 weeks.

Would being part of the CP pool be possible with this kind of schedule?

I'm guessing we will try to hold the pool Saturday October 3rd (CGY is at EDM that night), but that could change.

Try the CP keeper league that's just filling up.

See the contests/games forum, too lazy to put up link.

I'm playing fantasy football for the first time this year at CBSSports.com and planning on also entering a team in their hockey leagues. I like the set-up, with weekly head-to-head games and playoffs.

^CBS has always been my first choice for fantasy pools but nobody I know seems to like them. It's usually Yahoo pools with an occasional ESPN football pool thrown in.

I run a fantasy league with a bunch of friends of mine and we are looking to go from 10 teams to 12-14 this year. If I have a few spots left after all the regulars have signed up I will be hitting up calpuck for extras for sure.

IS there a spot left? I just checked it out and it looks pretty full.
If there is ANY team left, I'll take it.

Just wanted to retract my endorsement of CBSSPorts.com's fantasy leagues. There's nothing wrong with the leagues themselves, but in the cash leagues the fine print reveals Canadian residents don't qualify for cash prizes. Defeats the purpose of *paying* to play in their cash leagues, doesn't it? They're being good about it and providing a refund, but I wanted to mention this because it's easy to overlook when you sign up.

They don't have the upcoming season's info up yet, but based on last year's rules, expect it to be Wed. Sept 2.

Default Armchair Hockey Pools

Hi, I run www.armchairpools.com. It is a hockey pool manager that is accessible from the web and Facebook (just search for the armchair hockey pools application on Facebook).

We do a standard pool that costs $20 and a free box-style pool. The site is a pool management site, so you can start a pool, but you need to find friends to invite. The website has an evite feature that helps you with this.

If you have any questions about it, you can email me at warren@armchairpools.com. We also have a blog I post articles about using the site, so you can find info there and ask questions.
