Well, you did confuse me, but I mustered up all 70 of my IQ points to figure it out.

On the third date you should control the conversation and see what she likes. Keep changing the subject. Sports, movies, politics.. what else do you like or would want to talk about?

Why is this even a question?
Would I date a dumb hottie? Absolutely not. But I'd sure have sex with her, in a very uncomfortable place.

I don't want clever, conversation,
I never want to work that hard,
I just want someone, that I can talk to,
I want you just the way you are.

Actually, that's a really good idea. I tried doing that on the second date, but gave up when I was interrupted by talk of Gucci Twirls, and how they look fantastic on her.
I should start interrupting her and jump to other things.

Make a plan or a list of things you want to talk about.
You could ask about her family too, something she must be interested in I hope

A little OT, but I say YES female celebrity babble is equivalent to male sports babble. It's all just entertainment value.
Just because sports contains stats & analysis, well... aren't guys supposedly more drawn to the analytical stuff (look at the field of engineering, for example)?

Statistical regression suggests otherwise.

Well, if you're already this annoyed by the second date, do you honestly feel like this would last even if you go on a third date? If not, then I don't see why you would want to waste your time with the third date. This is, of course, taking into account your stated preference of wanting a serious relationship rather than just trying to get her in the sack.
Me personally, I have a high high tolerance level. All that babble that annoyed you wouldn't even phase me if she was hot. I'm pretty good at zoning things out and look like I'm listening intently.

This is not a contest on who can control the conversation and he who controls wins.
Do you want to get laid by this woman or not? If you do, forget trying to win control of the topic of conversation and just get right to the good part.
You, my boy, will be the ultimate winner!!

dumb question.
For guys, is there really any satisfaction sleeping with a girl that annoys you regardless of how hot she is?

No, but that is just me. I now await the barrage of posts insinuating I'm not a man an or questioning my sexuality.

There are no dumb questions, except all questions asked about the opposite gender.
