UGH. Just got back. Pretty much uneventful. Drove out to Barrier Lake, as soon as I was about to get set up, the most beautiful meteor sprawled across the sky illuminating it bright green. I thought I was in for a doozie. I pretty much saw very little. I got some shots, but decided to come back to Calgary. Going through Springbank, I saw a few more, so I decided to stop for a bit. I got this shot purely by accident. I was chatting on my cell to my fiancee who was wondering where the hell I was. I wasn't paying attention and just clicked off my remote. When the display showed the pic, i passed it off as an airplane. Until i realized there were none in the vicinity, nor had there been for a while, but the dots threw me off. Maybe broke into 2 pieces? Maybe it is a plane? I dunno.
Edit: I'm nearly certain this is an airplane.
I'll post the other ones later.

Wouldn't a plane make that sort of signature? The middle dot seems evenly spaced like it's the beacon light (or whatever it's called) on the belly of a plane.
Cool shot nonetheless.

Yeah, the only issues is that when a plane's light blinks, the light stays on for at least a fraction of a second, and therefor blurs with the long exposure. I have an example of when a plane went by. I'll post that when i get to work.

You would know far more than I would, but isn't there a blinking light in the middle of the two streams? Could the two streams be a light on each wing? I hope to god it isn't a plane, because that is a great shot if it isn't.

Ok. So this is definitely an aircraft. Looks similar, but I'm still on the fence for some reason.

I hope some of them fall into my backyard and gives me alien superpowers. This is what I secretly hope for everytime there is a meteor shower.

Yeah having an 8 foot wide rectum after all the alien probing isn't a superpower my friend.

Jayems, that first shot has got to be an aircraft. The two large streaks could be landing lights if they were on at that point, with the belly beacon light going off in between them.
See this shot on Flickr by http://www.flickr.com/photos/sandsy/, hockey related too. You can see a departing aircraft leaving a very similar trail:

Yeah, logic tells me it is not a meteor. Too bad

Driving to work this morning at 4am saw 4-5 within 10 mins. Bright green, it was slighly overcast and they poked threw. I think I read that dawn this morning and tonight is supposed to be the heaviest. a few dozen an hour.

Pretty decent tonight here in the East. Saw about 6 in ~30 minutes. Couple of good ones too. Definitely helps to view before moonrise.

Saw one about an hour ago- in the southern sky. Not sure if it was from the same field, but even though it was dusk it was about 10 times brighter than Venus is at its brightest- and it streak across the sky pretty good too.

Sat out last night for about 15 minutes and probably saw about 10 ... it was actually really cool. My dad saw some actual fireballs the night prior, but last night was sweet nonetheless.
