LF : Deals on trees (swedish aspens)

I was wondering if you know a good place to buy swedins aspens , looking for 8-10 of them , so I'm shopping around for a good price

anything grows in Cochrane has them for 20% off and they'll honor the warranty. The big ones (15 ft guesstimate) are $190 before sale and the smaller ones (10ft guesstimate) are $150 before sale. I don't know if that's a good price or not.

I got mine around this time of year, 2 years ago! They were on sale, I believe we paid around $100/ea for 4 at Sunnyside. They were 6 feet tall then, 3 of them have pretty much doubled in height since then, we do have a bit of a runt though, its only around 10' but all look very healthy. I don't think we could've gotten trees much bigger then that into our backyard due to the size of the root ball.

As already noted, most of the tree nurserys will drop their prices as Fall nears. Sunnyside will be dropping their prices shortly I believe to 40%. I was there a couple of weeks ago and they were at the 20% level. The max they reach is 50%, however there may not be enough time for the plant to root before winter hits. I believe they do honour their one year warrenty as well. Source: former employee
