I guess that I am going to have to learn to love Tiger. My 3 year old thinks he is the greatest thing ever (actually my kid loves Red and of course we know Mr. Woods choice of Sunday apparel).

Well 3 shots back going into the final round of Todays Bridgestone invitational, and he shoots 30 on the front to move 2 shots in front of Harrington, and 4 clear of anyone else in the field.

Who might weigh in here and start hacking on Harrington and the entire field for choking and letting Tiger Woods have a chance to win the tournament? In fact Tiger has shot 61 over his last 18 holes to put himself there. Looks like he's got his game where he wants it heading into the PGA Championship next week.

Yeah I agree. Harrington isn't choking, he's too experienced. He just can't make a birdie. 10 pars in a row is good some days but not good enough to beat Tiger who's on fire.

Tiger's on a roll and focused. Harrington better start making a birdie or 2 if he wants a chance at winning.

Well Harrington hasn't gone away and Tiger does not look good at all right now. Padraig might just be able to perservere here depending what happens on 14.

Ironic...I post this and than Tiger goes on to choke. Moon is going to tear me a new one!

How can I not believe in curses....As soon as I post, Tiger comes back with a birdie and a 4 shot swing on Harrington. I jinxed Watson last month, Woods earlier today, and now Harrington!

Tiger was unreal with his 8 iron shot. Shot of the year IMO. Meanwhile Harrington gafs his second shot onto the fairway and it's downhill from there.

Goes to show you how huge the mental aspect of the game is. That's the Tiger advantage!

This guy can do no wrong. Well he can, but it doesn't seem to cost him the wins.

Pretty impressive.

How about 70 tour wins by the age of 33

In comparison, Nicklaus was 40 when he won his 70th event. Always tough to compare era's, but considering how old your average first time tour even winner tends to be, that is a record that is probably still standing when I kick the bucket in about 42 years.

I imagine also that Tiger does not play nearly the number of tournaments per year that Jack did.

Tiger has won 16 of the last 30 World Champion golf events. Nuts!

Default Tiger Woods in trouble before the 2009 PGA Championships

Quote:
Tiger Woods is in trouble with the PGA before the 2009 PGA Championships and has been fined for his comments about the officials putting Padraig and him on the clock at Firestone tournament last week.
Quote:
"I don't think that Paddy would have hit the pitch shot that way if he was able to take his time, look at it, analyze it," Woods said. "But he was on the clock, had to get up there quickly and hit it."

Harrington conceded he was rushed, although he said it would be unfair to give the final group preferential treatment.

The PGA was not amused an used the following rule to involk the fine.

"It is an obligation of membership to refrain from comments to the news media that unreasonably attack or disparage tournaments, sponsors, fellow members, players or PGA Tour."

Woods went on to say, "Like I was telling him out there, 'I'm sorry that John (the course official) got in the way of a great battle,' because it was such a great battle for 16 holes," Woods said. "We're going at it, head-to-head, and unfortunately that happened. Paddy and I will definitely do it again."

Yes they were falling behind, but It was one hell of a match heading down the stretch. They shouldve let them play it out at their own pace.

I like the fact that Woods was sticking up for his opponent. WTF was the rush? They're the last group, let them play for crying out loud.

I have no problems with what Tiger said because 17 minutes behind is nothing in the big picture. I could see if they were 3-4 holes behind but this is the last group battling it out for the win.

However he should have been fined for making comments about an official because then it could just get out of hand if you allow Tiger to say it why can't everyone else?
