I'm still in awe of the $98 flight deal. Stunning. Absolutetly stunning. Would love to have used that to get to Majorica.
Anyways, I'm getting married in Decemebr of this year. The 19th to be exact. We're palnning to get my half brother (From London) and my mad crazy aunt (From Cork, Ireland) over for the wedding.
Now the old school mentality would have been to purchase the tickets asap, but with how the Internet has turned into a game changer, when would be the best time to purchase the tickets? I know there is typically a christmas blackout block on travel during that time.
Also anyone with leads to Seattle for new years, I'd greatly appreciate it!

Calgary to Orlando - $282 USD ??
Nov 1 to 7 on WestJet ??
Might be available on Saturday August 8th. It is showing on ITASoftware.com, but not showing for me on WestJet.ca yet.
In the past, deals like this have shown up the next day. Keep an eye out.
UPDATE: Available on Expedia.ca - $309 CDN total. Direct on the way there, connects through Hamilton and the Peg on the way back.

^^^ Wow... I had always thought the best rates were to book directly through Westjet. Good info to know -- I might have to consider that Palm Springs deal...

How much taxes and stuff do they add on to their charter fares? Because, um, this page is showing flights between Calgary and the UK for as low as $49!!!! Return flights for $99!!!!
http://www.canadianaffair.ca/en/flig...offers/#YYCLGW
This seems way too good to be true.

Usually they are, not sure why these flights aren't showing up on WestJet.ca
BTW, Phoenix is another one, lots of flights for $229 USD all in.
Example dates for a one week flight are:
Sep 11, 12, 16, 18, 19, 26, 28
Oct 2,3

Take the price I quoted ($579 CDN) and subtract $150 and you'll have your answer
Which is why I only post the fare prices *after* taxes and fees, because there's no point in bragging about a $10 flight if there are $600 in taxes.

Those are some pretty sick taxes, are they taxed in Norway or something?

Yeah it's bull how airlines get away with advertising '$100 flights to London'. I think there was a push to make it illegal to advertise airline fares without including taxes but haven't heard anything about that in a while.

Dear friends: me and my girlfriend are wanting to go to Europe next summer (e.g., May and June). We want to hit up England, France and Germany. How do we do this without selling our bodies to medical science, or other sketchy ways of avoiding brokeness?

I think something might be coming up for St Lucia (SLU) on WestJet in the $580ish range with dates in Nov/Dec.

Has anyone played with Bing Flight predictions yet? I know its Microsoft (boooo) and the only reason I'm asking is because I saw a commercial (oh god it worked, I'm going to hell) but I am curios if they have something here or if it is just marketing fluff....

Looks to me like they bought the technology from FareCast ? At least, the '7 Day Price Predictor' graphic looks the same to me.
If it's based on that technology, I remember finding it pretty useless for flights from any Canadian cities (data wasn't available). I do like the idea though.

Deal I found on Orbitz.com. Flights also available on Air Canada's website.
Flight to Barbados via Air Canada in November: $~500USD/person all in.
I found a quirk/feature/great deal on the Orbitz website, though. If you book the flight and hotel at the same time, choose Silver Point Villa for 7 nights. The price drops significantly from 6 nights, due to some promotion. Total cost $1400USD and change for 2 people! That's $700USD/person including flight AND hotel. Seriously good deal.

Nice find, which dates are you using exactly? I tried and got $1000 USD per person.

The first screen shows about $1000, but if you select that price you get a pop-up that says something like "Orbitz was able to find a new price of $1400 and save your $1200". I selected early Nov. Monday-Monday.
