Rumors out of the Denver Post are saying GM Swayze11 is in current talks with another GM and Patrick O'Sullivan could be gone as early as tonight.

Trade Block:
-All prospects (except Brennan, Roussell, and O'Reilly) - If goalies are involved I expect one back
-All AHL players
-David Clarkson
-All picks (except my 2011 1st)

Edit: Looking for a d-man somewhere around 65 and 64. Also open to many offers or lateral moves

Apparently the player on the Oilers who designed our Stanley Cup parade route and made it public before game 1 of the finals has been sent packing. It's unknown if this is the real reason said player has been moved, or it's another case of the team being too cheap to pay veteran players, a move learned from our great sensai, Kevin Lowe.

The rumored deal involving Huselius has been approved by the league:

To San Jose
Kristian Huselius
2011 4th

To Colorado
Niclas Havelid
Blake Wheeler
2.0 million in cash next season

This deal was a simple "I need players" deal. I gave up 1 roster player to gain 2, I took on Havelid's brutal contract but he has a decent rating this year and will be bought out next year. Blake Wheeler was the main piece in this deal, the Avalanche are trying to acquire players that can play both ways and Wheeler lead the NHL in +/- last season. The Avalanche got out-bid in all of its offers for UFA d-men so I had to grab Havelid.

It sucks taking on Havelid's contract, but you got Wheeler out of the deal. As long as you can handle buying Havelid out next year, then the deal makes sense for both sides.

I really didn't want to move Wheeler but if I could get rid of havelid and his terrible contract it was worth it. Look forward to Juice joining the team.
