Pearl Jam was amazing.
What a gong show trying to get everyone out of there on the shuttle busses though. Most unorganized thing I've ever seen.

haha the parking at the top was a blast to, makes the Flames game rush look like mini-putt.
probably a couple thousand cars and a 1 lane road to exit on. Well played.

Easily the best concert I've ever been too. This even passes some of Pearl Jam's live dvd's in terms of set list, etc.

I've never hurt this bad after a concert before. That was easily the best concert I've ever been to. Now to wake up tomorrow and decide whether I have the stamina/bounceback to take in the second day.

How was COP for a concert? Isn't the ground full of holes and all muddy?

It was actually great in the sense that you could be a few hundred feet from the stage but due to the hill you'd still have a great view of the stage. Most of it was grass but the "pit" was a mix of sawdust and peagravel. If it rains tomorrow it'll be a mess.

As far as mud and holes go, it was fine for me. Just the parking and transit situation absolutely stunk.
The hill is perfect for a concert IMO I just wish you could drink anywhere, and not be limited to just in the beer garden.
^ and yeah, what jar_e said. If it rains tomorrow I won't be staying long. Billy Talent's just not worth it.
Couldn't have asked for better weather tonight.

I totally agree on the bottom point. And for the first point...park in bowness tomorrow. That's what we did and it made things way easier. No traffic at all.

I live up here in Cougar Ridge and Pearl Jam even sounded good from my deck, but the parking is a joke up here. If your coming today I'd suggest trying transit, the 453 shuttle will take you to within 2 or 3 blocks of the gate up here and it connects with the 101, 104 and 301 into downtown. If it was me I'd park at Westbrooke, take the 101 to the top of coachhill, transfer to the 453. on the way back the 453 drops you right back at the top of coachhill and the 101 right back to westbrooke.
My 2 cents

Well if anyone needs tickets and/or beer vouchers, check out my post in the Ticket Exchange.
I woke up this morning so sore, not sure if I want to go and do another day.

I just wished they played Jeremy. Completely blown away otherwise. All in all some unspectacular moments during the course of the day (thunderheist, k-os) but made up for it with great sets like Wintersleep and Pearl Jam.

thought their set was alright, but their lead singer has the personality of a brick.

Pearl Jam rarely plays Jeremey in concert if the four times I have seen them they haven't played hit yet. On the Canadian tour in 2005 I think they only played it in edmonton.
I really apreciate a band like Pearl Jam that they can leave hits on the table and have amazing shows and you don't really care if they don't play it. I really aprciated the new songs, sound like they will be solid hits after a few listens

Calgary really fluked out with this Pearl Jam set list...to touch on the highlights....
Played their new single "The Fixer" for the first time ever in concert.
Played a hit of their new, unreleased album Backspacer, "Got Some", only played once before in public (on the Late Show).
Played "Brother" for the first time ever in concert with lyrics.
Played a cover of The Who's "The Real Me" for the first time ever.

It was truley one of those "once in a lifetime" concerts. The second day was great, too. The mosh pit was insane for Billy Talent.
