People need to realize that Obama has really not done much since taking office. He is a good speaker though, which may lead to the deception that change is happening.

As implied, Obama's decisions thus far have not really strayed from Bush's.

People need to realize that Obama has really not done much since taking office. He is a good speaker though, which may lead to the deception that change is happening.
He's a Democrat too.
Just as some people refused to admit that Bush made some pretty big mistakes, some people can't admit that Obama has done nothing but say big words since Jan.

I think Obama's honeymoon period is pretty much over. And the way the US economy is, unless Obama does something landmark, his approval ratings may dip into the 20-30% range.

Obama is a failure, Bush was a failure, it doesn't matter what party they belong to anymore. It's too bad, because Obama is a likeable guy, but he has broken many promises already.
The U.S. is like a really drunk guy hunching over the bar, and the Fed is like the bartender that keeps sliding the shots over, until the drunk guy becomes poisoned........and dies...?

So you're trying to lay Afghanistan on Obama's shoulders? Bush should have taken care of it years ago and now it's become a festering pool just like the American economy that Bush also screwed up by his inattention. At least Obama has his priorities straight and a brain on his shoulders to tackle the problems. Bush just ignored them while going for the grandiose plan to feather his buddies pockets. Some of you are like kids sitting in the back seat whining 'are we there yet'?
But I think progress can be made in Afghanistan. All it needs is competent leadership.
If by progress you mean military I disagree. No disrespect to anyone over there but that is a war that will not be won ..... never. Bin Laden should've been dead instead of some mythical folklore years ago.
And I'm not dismissing the efforts of those that are fighting it, just calling it as I see it.
