To employers looking for new employees:

If you aren't sure you need to hire anyone and put an ad out just to "test the waters", don't bother sending an offer of employment to someone. Especially don't ignore their calls to accept said offer when you suddenly change your mind and decide that you really don't need to hire anyone.

F am I mad now.

That is a piss off I'm sure! And they wonder why they were getting screwed over when it was hard to find employees what goes around comes around.

What kind of work are you looking for?

Mechanical/Industrial Design & Drafting. Tech Work.

It's a big piss off considering I passed on a couple other good opportunities. Mental note, don't pass on others until actually sitting at a desk earning a paycheck.

That seems like a tough gig to get into here in Red Deer, a friend works for a firm here, and is getting worried about his position. Not like it was 2-3 years ago, they couldn't get enough warm bodies at the desk.

almost learned that the hard way last summer. Was waiting to get an offer at a place I was sure would be a good fit, ignored a couple of other possible offers. Finally got the offer, wasn't worth a crap and was suddenly back to square one. I was lucky to have another opportunity fall into my lap.

Looking for a cook position, few available, lowball wages, and LOTS of applicants. I think I am going to have to start finding addresses and showing up to the kitchens of the 'reply by email' ads to show some extra initiative. Has worked in the past....
