What the heck are you talking about?
Yesterday's patch released a whole new instance. WotLK came out 6 months ago, the 2.4 patch 6 months before that introduced the entire Sunwell plateau and 2 new instances.
Seems like a fair bit of new content.
And since I only joined after Burning Crusade, the achievements have pushed me to go into instances I had never gone into before. Sure they can be a time sink, but nothing is forcing you to do them.
I don't see many other mmorpg offering so much. It is a cash cow for Blizzard and they seem to be doing a pretty good job maintaining it so far (my 2.5+ hours with a GM ticket before giving up and logging off last night notwithstanding).

Vehicles + Boss fight = epic confusion * insane amounts of fun.
That's as far as I've seen in the new instance but damn was it a good way to waste 2 hours of a night
Anyone bought themselves a chef hat yet?

So last week we are chatting, and one guy mentioned that WoW had account authenticators, but they were sold out. I said how I had watched the website on and off for quite a while, but they were always out of stock for Canada (why we can't order from the same place as the US, I don't know). He mentioned that they had just come in stock, so I looked and they were available.
I asked a few friends if they wanted one so we could save on shipping. One guy was pretty non-committal, one said yeah. I spoke with another guy at work on Thursday, and he said it might sound like a good idea.
Thursday night I got on late and had an in game mail. The guy I has spoken with at work sent a message: "Yes I want an Authenticator. I got hacked."
He has 6 toons, 5 in a guild with me, one in a raiding guild. Our guild bank was almost totally gutted (4 tabs). His personal banks had all been cleaned out. His 2 top level toons still had their gear since it was tier wear and can't be sold. The kicker is he thinks the guy who hacked him got interrupted somehow since all the gold was still on his character.
So Thursday night I ordered the authenticators (I wanted 4, but they only let you order 3 max). Saturday morning I received notice that they had been shipped, and when I looked at the tracking it was already in Calgary. They attempted deliver Monday, I got them Tuesday.
My buddy entered a GM ticket (and had to call Blizz to get a password resent since our guild leader called Blizz to get his account locked as soon as he saw the bank gutted), and sometime Saturday night all his stuff and the guild stuff was returned. He needs to re-gem and re-enchant his stuff, but Blizzard never took the gold from the sales of the stuff, so he still comes out ahead.
He never has figured out how he got hacked.
For all you who TL;DR - get a Blizzard Authenticator

LB is stupid for mana consumption now, in my PvP gear I go OOM so fast now as resto.
Druids really got the poop end of the stick when it comes to PvP healers, I guess three seasons of OPness will do that to you... I switched to feral for this season and have been loving my rofl burst dps.

RMP is enough reason to make me want to quit this game!
In past seasons I generally just played 2's and 5's, never was a fan of healing 3's... this seaon I have been focusing on 3's and ever since we broke 2100 we face RMP at least 75% of the time. I looked at our stats from last night and in 41 games, 32 were against RMP or some type of RMP hybrid.. very frustrating.
They need to nerf wounding or crippling poison, put some DR on it or something.. because it is stupid atm.
/vent
Oh were running DK/Resto Druid/Ret Pally. So our cheese factor is quite high in itself, but not nearly as close as RMP.. I wasn't watching this last 3v3 tourney very close but I hear that RMP just dominated. Hopefully Blizzard uses that as an eye opener to make some changes.

Bears are nearly OP as tanks, especially in high end raids. I've been a druid tank for nearly 4 years now and I'm shocked at how easy the role has gotten. I used to joke about how all I had to do was bash my face on the keyboard to hold aggro. Now it's literally down to the Swipe button. Don't even have to control the frontal cone or be in range of the target anymore... just swipe swipe swipe and make that Prot Pally look incompetent.
Healing strats have changed a lot too. It used to be about spamming Lifebloom on everyone and their dog. Now it's more selective. I tend to spam Rejuvenation followed with a few Nourishes to top people up. If I'm healing a tank, I add a 3 stack of Lifebloom to the mix.

I can't believe the DPS output a Bear can do now.

You know what I would like to see, are really long 5 man instances that you can play over a week period. Like 10 man raids but designed for 5 people.

We got him last week.
Now that we defeated Yogg, it's fun going back and attempting some of the hard modes (we've been skipping them because we wanted maximum progression time each week). We completed FL+3, Heartbreaker, and Freya+1 this week. Next week we're going to try FL+4, Freya+2, Thorim+Sif, and Assembly of Iron with Molgeim last.

3.2 has indeed dropped, so that can only mean one thing!
Feral tanking Druids have been nerfed again!
Oh, and apparently Paladins are useless now.

But Shamans were buffed!
Didn't do much to Mages.
JC got hit pretty bad.
Looks like Engineers got a lot of nice stuff, which they needed since few people want to do that.
Edit: and it was funny doing the Argent Crusade dailies last night. Get a group, land, kill a bunch of scourge. Oh - it isn't 15 scourge anymore - now it is Cultists. And the 2 new dailies are so easy it is silly.

I don't see that changing. Because of the trinket nerfs, they really removed what engineering was good for (twinks who do BGs). What they buffed it with won't make me leap at engineering on any new toons I roll.
It just costs too much to level and you get nothing back for it. The only class that gets a lot of benefit from it are Hunters, and after reaching a certain progression level you can drop it.
It will need some serious buffs, and way better trinkets to even compete. Even with the JCing nerfs, the trinkets you can make with that are still way better. For early going, the Alchemy ones are better for PvE (but not PvP)

You're probably right - I just scanned their list and saw a bunch of beneficial things. I didn't look into the long term applications. I only know a few max Engineers, and one was pretty happy he gets an AH in Dal.
And to get all the new JC patterns requires something like 294 tokens. That is going to take a while. Especially since I need to replace most of my Dragons Eye. They went Red and I need Blue.

Yeah, I know a few people in that situation, however JCing is still necessary so you can recoup the gold over time (if not right away). Enchanting, Inscription and Jewelcrafting are the only professions required by all classes and specs. After that, you have Leather working and Tailoring for the leg patches. They'll always have work as there are always new leggings to enchant.
Alchemy is needed by most classes, you won't see tanks flasking up unless they're low on HP or threat (until they buff stoneblood, 1.3k health is not a buff. It does not scale with kings, and isn't even a third of a raid boss' white damage).
Then you have Blacksmithing and Engineering. While Blacksmithing has the belt buckles, you're going to have to sell a HELL of a lot of those to compensate the time and gold put into getting to the level to make them, and Engineering doesn't even have that. Blacksmithing also has more gear.

I believe EJ lists that for JC/BS are the 2 professions to get if you want to maximize your stats. Eng is at the bottom of every list, but there are a bunch of neat toys.
And they definitely upped the number of Titanium nodes - I got more last night than I have in the last week.
