I love that at 2 AM CP's resident weather expert is up to answer our questions. How is this not a pay subscription site?

Anyone happen to be in Harvest Hills, right near that Mcdonalds and Petro Canada on Country Hills Drive?

My brother had his car parked outside - I called to warn him but he didnt pick up.

Any hail there?

Well, found out tonight which windows aren't sealed properly. This will be a long night of towels and buckets.

It's absolutely bombing out side. Hail for a good 10 minutes followed by heavy rain. I've never seen my tree move so much. I thought it was going to fall over. I can't even sleep, the lightening is so bright even with my blinds closed

The strong winds have died down here (Far NW Calgary). Still have rain coming down fairly heavy and lightning going pretty strong with continious thunder.

This hit the aspen hills area five minutes ago. Pretty gnarly storm.

If your worried about his car, I'm sure it'll be fine. I'm semi close to there, and hail isn't on the ground (and my car is outside too).

Looks like the worst is over for the NW, quick and scary! Still raining like anything, thundering, but that rattling, sucking wind has stopped, thank God.

The Petro is right outside my bedroom window. Crazy Stuff going on outside. No hail from what I can tell but the lighting and thunder is awesome. Love the power of mother nature.

Just saw a lighting strike the new appt building on 11th ave by the co-op and the skate park. About 5 min later, strike right behind that building. I am about 5 blocks from there. It was awesome.

This is crazy... nonstop thunder. It's really loud outside... I'm in Bridgeland and its just been rain / wind / thunder and lightning here. No hail as of yet.
