Re PJ and RHCP....wow, that's not even close. There is soo much more to PJ than the RHCP could ever dream of. RHCP have evolved into a band that's fun to listen to at a party, while PJ keeps pumping out solid music with actual substance.
You can argue Eddy has become too politically focused in his lyrics and live shows, but the band hasn't strayed too far from its original sound and they remain one of the very best live acts out there.

Single day tickets go on sale tomorrow (Saturday July 11) at 10 AM.
I believe they are $66 + service fees.

Wow! Word to the wise, you may as well just get a 2 day pass, and enjoy the sun and beer, and some okay bands on the second day.
People were saying it comes to about $140 with tax and ticket master charges for a 2 day pass. I just went to buy a one day ticket and it was $80 plus the $13 fee, plus some other $3 fee, plus GST. So yeah, over $100 for a one day ticket.
I think i'll just pony up the extra $40 and check out BIlly Talent, make a weekdend out of it.

Ontario got a pretty amazing lineup.
Ben Harper & Relentless 7
The Pixies
Franz Ferdinand
Sloan
Nine Inch Nails
Pet Shop Boys
Our Lady Peace
N.E.R.D.
Cold War Kids
Mutemath
Thunderheist
All for $33 less than Calgary's lineup.

While the Ontario lineup is deeper, there isn't a band on the lineup that comes close to matching the awesomeness of Pearl Jam.

Exactly. We win because we get to watch THE Pearljam, everything else is just a bonus.

Does anyone know if there is any danger of this selling out? How many people are they gonna be able to fit there?

This festival is in 9 days and they have only announced 11 total bands, has anyone heard if there are any more bands to be announced, it says on the Virgin site many, many more, I would like to go but would like a bigger line up

I was third in line at Ticketmaster yesterday to pick up my ticket. All three people in front of me were buying single-day tickets for "whatever day Pearl Jam" is playing. It didn't appear that they were together at all, either.
Saturday will sell out. Sunday, probably not.

Yeah, I was wondering this as well. You'd think if there were any more "name" bands added, it would have been announced by now to spark more ticket sales.

I've purchased a Virgin phone for my wife and they're offering a free ticket to Saturday or Sunday's show (1 ticket, 1 show).
I'll be out of town. Does anybody want it? FREE.
PM me your name. The ticket can be picked up at will call.
TICKET IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE.

My buddy hooked me up with free tickets thru Virgin too!!! Exceited for Pearl Jam, you would think they would add the bands playing at Drenched Fest since it is in Calgary the same weekend!!!!
