absolutely brutal!
i guess this is a good opportunity for a young guy to prove himself, i guess we know how the rider fans felt last year when fantuz got hurt (except this was due to a stupid horsecollar tackle )

Minus the fact that Rambo has shown himself to be, at worst, the second best WR in the league and Fantuz has gone over 500 yards once in his career.

I still don't see why that wasn't even a penalty....not that it matters now.

pretty ridiculous that Javy didn't get called for that. Javy is far from a dirty player, but he just made a pretty big mistake and a stupid one to boot. It's too bad. I was at the game and even in real time, I knew he'd be done for the season. It was ugly. But not as ugly as the Lions' performance that night.

That sucks. penalties are missed sometimes, but isn't this suspension worthy? That's exactly why horsecollar tackles are illegal.

The player would appeal, it would go to court, and a judge who happens to be a Lions STH would reverse the suspension and the CFL commissioner would look even more impotent than now (if that is possible).

We still have some veterans on this team who can help out (Copeland, Lewis, Thelwell, and Ralph). It just mean we will see more of Teyo Johnson, Jabari Arthur, Jermaine Jackson and Titus Ryan. I am not too worried. Yes, Rambo is a big lost but this is a team game and I am sure the boys will rally.

I can't be the only one who's noticed that the refereeing has seemed VERY slanted in favour of the Stamps' opponents so far. I guess Higgins is still bitter about getting canned.

Most of the Stamps penalties have been of the undisciplined variety. Unnecessary roughness, objectionable conduct etc. When a team gets a rep for taking stupid penalties like that the refs are more likely to call it. They're bringing most of it upon themselves so far.

Are you serious? The play Rambo got hurt on was a missed call (Yeah they happen). The only question I have remaining is whether or not a suspension should have been issued. As for reffing against the Stamps this year I can only call it fair with bad calls working on both sides. (Remember the unesscessary roughness call on BC on that play where Brett Ralph was pushed out of bounds somewhat after the Rambo missed call?)

I'm not a CFL fan but I watch the highlights and that was a cheap play by the defensive guy.
That horse collar move should be an automatic one game suspension because it can result in even worse injuries than what Rambo received.
Stupid play to lose a guy for the whole year. Reminds me of that pointless play on Bourque when he was lost, its just not a play that should be part of the game.

I watched the first two games and was left with a bad feeling. Not really based on the score but more like it just ain't going to be their year. Then as they start to turn it around the bigtime injury. His replacement could shine but I'm thinking they have to overcome a little Karma this year. But the struggle could make it exciting!!!!!

Damn that sucks. Well the good news is receiver is probably our deepest position and we've got some other talent at the position. But Rambo will definitely be missed.

Okay I am not meaning to be an ass about this, but for all the CFL talent is just as good as NFL talent people out there. Seriously Rambo is a top receiver in your league? This guy was a complete scrub in the NFL. I am not bashing CFL in any way, I think it's entertaining although don't get to see it much down here. However, I don't see how anyone can think that a legit NFL star wouldn't dominate in the league. I mean Rambo couldn't get open against nickel backs in the NFL, but he dominates the CFL? This pretty much ends all arguments between the quality of talent in the leagues.
