Default PC Cooling

Bought a new rig a little while back, bought the Cooler Master Cosmos 1000 case to chuck all the guts into. Solid case for cooling but I just SLI'd two vid cards together and man do those puppies run hot in high demand games. I'm sure the cards are designed to handle the heat but want to improve on the cooling some. I want to upgrade the stock fans with some that move more air and look at maybe getting a case fan controller. ME has limited case fan controllers and was hoping to find one that dealt with setting the fan speeds automatically based on internal temps.

Anyone have a recommendation for some good upgrade fans? Want them to be as quiet as possible but move a lot of air and no LED lights. 120mm size is what I'll need. Recomendation for case fan control?

Saw some video card coolers at ME as well but looks like they are meant for single cards, the SLI'd cards a VERY close together and don't think these coolers would fit, any solutions for that kind of setup?

BTW - Don't want to get into water cooling.

The new goggles also do nothing.

Good site with some reviews of fans as well as active forums.

The Scythe ones from Memory Express are pretty good I find.

How hot do they run? A lot of people complain about their cards hitting "60 under load!!". My 4870 is 80 at idle and never gets much hotter under load; I'm not worried. Also, while I've read a few reviews on some after market Vid card cooling fans, memoryexpress will be able to tell you what's best hands down. Depending on where you live in town there's a few locations. I've always given them my business and never regretted it once. www.memoryexpress.com Good luck

Actual temp? Not sure but the air they blow out the back (each card has its own fan and exhaust) is quite hot and the metal around the case is pretty toasty, almost to hot to touch. Like I said, I'm sure they are fine as most SLI configurations I've seen the cards are pretty much lumped together, they are bound to get hot that way.

Agreed on ME though, I buy just about everything I buy from them. Just didn't seem like they had a ton of cooling options.

Finally, another person bought this wonderful case. No idea about cooling, i love the HD slots although the cable management isnt as great as I thought it would be for its costs.

Oh man, this case is AWESOME. Only thing is, I should have bought one for the Windows Home Server I just installed. Will do that down the road for sure, the HD slots are unreal. Best case I have ever owned. Agreed on the cable management though, was expecting a bit better but wouldn't hesitate to recommend to someone else.
