going to the casino
after some careful negotiations  , the misses and I are off the casino in 20 min or so.
She will play roulette, I will drink over priced beer. While drinking the over priced beer, I will call out random numbers that she will feel obligated to bet on.
She already bets 12 for Iginla...
29 for her own reason...I say Otto
The first number I toss out is 25 for Nieuwendyk,
then 3 for Phaneuf, 34 for kipper, 28 regehr...
Give me a couple more...the reasons why...and I'll report back how we did in an hour or so.

had some good luck with 25, 4, 12
had not so much luck with the rest of the numbers
fortunately for me I have great negotiating skills, so even though we may have lost at the casino....it looks like I'm going to be up for the night

Roulette is actually pretty fun if you play the outside bets (1st 12, red, odd, even, etc).

Hope you were at any casino other than the Grey Eagle...
As far as table games go, I prefer blackjack or sic bo. Craps is fun too.
When the NHL finally arrives in Las Vegas, I intend to go down for the first Flames game there, walk into Caesars Palace, put $10 on Black, and walk away, win or lose. That's about how far my interest in Roulette goes.

You called the cab after 2am? I thought the table games close at 2 and the slots close at 3am?

we went to the Edgewater casino here in downtown Vancouver. As far as I know the place is open 24 hours, although they stop serving booze at 2am.

I love roulette, always come out on top when playing the inside. the trick is to play a load of numbers. like i always start with $20 in singles spread across my favorite numbers in singles and hit, winning back $35 (15 win). then I continue the 20 spread with a couple extra numbers with $2 on them, the result is almost always hitting a $35 or a $70 win per spin.
Once i start winning big, i cash out, back pocket the big chips, and reinvest $20. if i win again then i continue on that $20 winning pile, if i lose then its time to go home with a few hundred in the pocket.
I don't have a ton of money to blow for fun, but an hour of entertainment and a $20 investment coming back 10 or 20 times is quite a good time.
