Could this be related to the delay in getting your app into the store?
I went to buy it to support a fellow cper but was not interested in Colorado. Any word on when it will be available with western Canada support?

We don't have hi res imagery for Canada. I know, I know.. Canadian company (technically) doesn't have Canada mapped!
We will have Google Maps integration though, and our hikes work with that.. It makes me very sad.
No, my hate was because Apple nonchalantly told developers how NOT to get set up for testing in app purchasing. It took me several days, several screwed up test accounts, countless hair pulling out before I finally figured out how to get a valid test account.. THEN they made it worse if you're Canadian! I had to switch my store to the US store.. didn't know how to do that at first.
Ugh.. Just such a pain in the ass.

Yep, but really only with our Google interface. If you do a hiking trip in the US though... then our app really shines. Shortly after that I'm hoping we use our Western Europe data, but I think the delay with that is trail naming.
We had a couple of free apps up for a while, then removed them, put up Colorado, and we will shortly be putting our in-app purchasing app up.
One of the biggest frustrations we had seemed to be that our app reviewer didn't know how our app worked. They kept rejecting us because we didn't notify the user when there was no data connection.. except we don't need a data connection. Our app has imagery on the device.

You should have just called your app "shake a baby to death" ... they would have approved it before lunch!
Was it hard communicating with them? That sounds like a very frustrating and simple issue to solve. I've heard dealing with the app people can be a headache.

Well they kept referring to a part in the HIG that didn't make sense. I don't know if we get the same reviewer or what, but two of our apps made it through without any issue, and this one didn't..TWICE. The only difference being the map content included in the app. It's just weird sometimes.
Slightly frustrating when they reject it when they don't seem to understand what we're doing. Better to e-mail us and clarify rather than reject on what you "think" the app does.

Soooo, can anyone tell me why my iPod always seems to reset daily?! I have 800ish songs on it, and usually just shuffle through all of them. But each time I click on my iPod it seems to have reset my playlist.....it's REALLY annoying actually.

Speaking of the iPod, I have a couple hundred tunes and am wondering how I can set it so that they play randomly so the thing runs through the whole song list. How can I do this?

The back-orders on the 3gs are incredible. I ordered mine from Rogers a few weeks ago and I received a message from them on Monday saying that it might get shipped out by today (friday). The demand for the phone astounds me as there isn't really one killer defining feature that sets it apart from the 3g. Video and stuff are very welcome, but I never would have expected an upgrade like that to have this affect.

Where did you order your 3Gs? As far as I know the Apple store has a ton of 3Gs phones and they can do all the contract work there. I walked into a Rogers store last Friday and picked up a 3Gs no problem.

Problem is I upgraded from my 3g, so I had to order it through Rogers over the phone. I would imagine the 3gs' that go to the stores get priority over me.

Ah OK, I didn't know there was a different procedure for upgrading from the 3G to the 3Gs, I needed a new contract anyways and qualified for a phone upgrade so it was a bit different.

For those of you who upgraded from 3G to 3GS, is it worthwhile to upgrade? When talking to a Rogers CSR yesterday, I found out that I qualify to upgrade for $199 and am wondering if it is worth spending the money...from looking at the feature set, the only thing I would use is the voice activation... Is 3GS faster/better than 3G?

Yeah it's quite a bit faster. The speed of the new phone, coupled with the new software (in my opinion) really make take the iPhone out of the realm of a fun gadget and into the realm of a useful appliance.
The speed is a definite upgrade.
