For your disc you should also include:
Chilliwack - My Girl
The Box - Closer Together (Sass Jordan is of course the backup singer for this Montreal one hit wonder)
Jane Sibbery - Mimi on the Beach
Martha and the Muffins - Echo Beach
That's why I sold them. I gave away my turntable years ago and couldn't see myself getting a new one.

And for Jane Sibbery I would probably pick One More Colour (which I bought from her site).

If you go to her site, you can buy her stuff and pay either market price, self determined price, or free. Interesting concept.

The Box had a couple other hits - Ordinary People comes to mind.

Parachute Club should be on there, Rise Up or Feet of The Moon

Shawnski - I have heard The Donnas version. I believe they used it for a TV commercial for a while.

It's actually pretty hard to track many of these down. Some (like The Skydiggers early stuff - I Will Give You Everything) were for a Canadian label that went under so there are questions of who owns the rights. And as a result they haven't been produced in years. I need to get down to the used CD place and see what they have.

Yeah I was going to mention Gowan, I must have seen him 25 times when I was younger, everywhere from Ontario Place to Canada's Wonderland.

I also dig Styx...

Is GWAR a guilty pleasure?

NSFW

How 'bout some Barney Bentall?

Oh, and Pink... she's hot and has some pipes, but I've never been much of a pop listener. (I too think Gwen Stefani is not really a pop princess, she's got some punk cred)

Damn, that's why I can never find them . I have wanted to listen to Monday Morning Blues Again (or whatever the title is) on more Mondays than I care to remember.

They are another band who put on a good show. Saw them at the short lived "Joe Cools" bar in Regina.

Is it a guilty pleasure that I still listen to Journey's greatest hits album?

I think some people need to learn what a "guilty pleasure" band/song is......

In May they remastered and released a bunch of tracks. You may want to check for it here.

(According to Wiki, the Skydiggers created the Maplemusic label. There is a massive amount oc Canadian acts they do online sales for)

Nice list. I think Frozen Ghost is another guilty pleasure of that era for me. I don't even remember what any of their songs are called, I just know that I listened to one of their albums a couple months ago and sorta dug it.

A definite guilty pleasure for me is Ghandharvas: no March 21 is complete without listening to First Day of Spring at least once. I've listened to it on that date almost every year since it came out.

Spice Girls

Also, I have Geri Halliwell's version of "It's Raining Men" in my car at all times because...sometimes I want to sing along.

I love this song.

I'll also add

Picture of You - Boyzone
Invisible - Clay Aiken
Piece of Me, Circus, Womanizer - Britney Spears

I'll also own up to loving Duran Duran (even their new stuff)

And who could go wrong with some Enrique Iglesias? (Somebody's Me, Do You Know).

Hahaha likewise man. I was all about the ganster rap growing up.

Eazy E I like because I find it funny and entertaining more than anything else. But yeah Big L is/was without a doubt talented.

I also get a kick out of the late 80's early 90's rap... Run DMC, Digital Underground, Skee-Lo, Arrested Development... brings back good memories.

Hell no!

Hands down GWAR puts on the most fun live show you can see. And the bonus is they love Canada. They are always playing Calgary.

Would highly recommend seing these guys live, even if you are not a big fan.

The stage show alone is worth the price of admission.
