Default Fire in the NE/Airport?

Anyone see this giant smoke cloud over by what I think is the airport? Anyone know what this is?

It's probably just routine firefighter training.

When there actually is a fire though, CP will be RIGHT on top of that.

It's called a mock up.

They have an old rail car that simulates a plane and use contaminated fuel from the airlines.

There are some 40-50 firefighters stationed at the airport(between the 4 shifts)and they all require at least 2 fires a year to remain certified by Transport Canada.

It creates a lot of smoke and pollution but is the only option available.

Now there appears to be a fire around Memorial and 14th street. HAWCS is circling overhead.

Edit- now the fire department from Downtown is also heading there.
