If you think you're gonna make me feel guilty for listening to Gowan and Hall & Oates regularly, you can f-- right off!
Cosmetics is a great tune.

Gowan is a legend. And i'm not talking about adult-rock 'call me Larry' garbage or his time with Styx (who, with Dennis DeYoung are also a pleasure of mine). I'm talking the straight up Strange Animal Gowan!

I'm with everyone who loves Gowan, although I don't really feel guilty for liking it. Maybe a song like D.A.N.C.E by Justice, or Summer Girls by L.F.O. Yeah, L.F.O. I definitely feel ashamed of that.

So I just spent 40 minutes on youtube since posting that Gowan video, just going from that to "Chalk Circle - The Mourning" to "BLVD - Never Give Up" to "Boys Brigade - Melody" and so on......
But it must end for baseball beckons.....
I really need to put together a CD of all these almost forgotten 80s Canadian hits

ha ha... ya, that Chalk Circle tune is a beauty. If you make the cd, fire me off a copy. Just make sure you include the Spoons' 'Romantic Traffic' and any Platinum Blonde too!

Spoons best song is Nova Heart, but those are easy - I have their CD. I sold my Platinum Blond vinyl in the Buy Sell last year (along with The Pursuit of Happiness) - I need to replace those.

Two songs I like but really shouldn't: Hot & Cold by Katy Perry and P-P-P-P-P-Poker Face by Lady Gaga.
Most embarassing song on my iPod that I don't have the heart to delete: Invisible by Clay Aiken. Even my wife asked me if I was gay when she saw I had that.

Damn good tunes! I LOVE This Mourning, and also got to see BLVD open for Boston in Dec.'88..a couple months before the Flames won the cup. Brad Delp got a Flames jersy from the crowd and put it on. Totally cool stuff!
And...i thought i was the only guy to like "Melody". Great tune from the early 80's.

Pokerface is one of my most requested songs in the last year. When I have my full DJ set up going, it rocks... .can't help but to dance.
Rob Thomas/Matchbox 20. The dude can sing and has such a unique style. I prefer the Matchbox 20 stuff to his solo work though.
