I actually used to really like that magazine. An old GF of mine tried to get me a subscription at one point (3+ years ago) and found out that it was out of publication. They tried to get her to subscribe to GQ instead.

Sounds like somebody is trying to up their circulation numbers in order to try to attract advertising. Subscriber fee's don't really bring in any income and upping the # of issues printed isn't really that expensive, so it's probably worth it for them to give it away in order to be able to sell the numbers for more expensive ad space.

So, it survived for more than a week being on RFD, but once the link was posted on CP; it got shut down.

Gotta love the power of CP!

I liked Stuff better then Maxim. But I buy magazines so infrequently that I never knew it died.

RIP Stuff

I'm getting flooded with junkmail in my hotmail account. Is anyone else getting this after signing up? Just trying to figure out where its coming from.

That's why I always use fake names and email addresses whenever I sign up for stuff like this.

Used a fake name and a junk e-mail address as well. Haven't noticed any increase in spam on that account.

Darn, the deal is dead and this is the first time I saw it. North American Maxim is tame though, compared to other country editions.

I seem to have mysteriously been put into Readers Digest finalists awards, all of a sudden. I was trying to think of how they got my mailing address etc, and then I remembered this. Damn you free Maxim, even though I will still love you.

You wouldnt, its tough for any one spammer to make a significant increase in the amount of junk mail that you get.
