Default Strange Classes you've taken

So, I'm enrolling in some rather atypical classes for the fall, and I wanted to see what strange classes others have taken or are going to be taking.

I'm going to be taking floral design, sewing, and AutoCAD. The last one isn't bad, the other two.... can't say the same.

I had Art Lab where you had access to everything from pottery making to stained glass. It was for non-art majors . Didn't get much instruction, it was odd.

History of the Rolling Stones, complete with tales of acid trips by the prof and mass cheeto consumption by myself.

Natural History.

But it's probably the most popular course at Carleton. Basically, the professor goes to Algonquin Park and talks about all the stuff he saw when he was there. You've never seen a grown man so excited about bear crap in all your life.

I took a pyschology course called " Altered States of Consciousness" at UWO, I thoroughly enjoyed it, we talked about drugs, aliens, hypnotism, dreams.. Super cool.

Also at UWO - a class where we spent hours analyzing modern art and then creating our own art show "Curatorial Studies" Out of all the art classes I took (I have my degree in it) it was my favourite.

At UofC I enjoyed the Primate Anthro class

Had a similar course at Waterloo, and it became the source of my favorite academic story. Having not done my reading assignment, and with a presentation on said book due to be delivered to the class that day, I got up in front of the class and took potshots at both Star Trek and Star Wars in comparison to what I read about the book from the inside cover. This naturally led to a huge flame war which I very lightly moderated, and as a result, I got an A for doing a presentation on a book I neither read nor discussed during the presentation.

Moral of the story - polarize the trekkies and the star wars nerds, and they'll do the heavy lifting for you.

I got to take a Hockey Culture and Commerce class. Didn't feel like school at all. Probably the only class I did all my readings for.

I havent taken it but there is a Film Studies class at the U of C that is based soley on "The Sopranos". Unfortunatly for me my major (accounting) involves giving up anything and everything involving the concept of fun and therefore I can't take this course. (or at least this course wont get me any closer to getting my degree)

Also, there is a SOCI class called Sociology of Sports which seems like it could be interesting.

I'm not sure if they've changed things recently, but when I graduated a couple of years ago you were required to take at least 2 art courses, and film qualifies. I took the Rolling Stones class and History of Vampires in film.

SOCI of sports sounds interesting, but it's not. It sucks.

I haven't taken anything wierd... but I've heard that the U of C offers a Kines course where you pretty much just lie down and "spiritually meditate."
