Hypothetically, if the moon landing was fake...........to me it doesn't really matter because there have been no consequences for average Joe citizens as the result of it.

The moon program led to many side-benefits. I'll look for a link.
With the success of the Apollo program, NASA delivered great progress in the fields of rocketry and aeronautics, as well as the fields of civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering. Lesser known accomplishments are some of the many spinoffs that came from the Apollo program—partnerships created between NASA and industry to commercialize the technologies developed for the historic missions to the Moon.
And while the president didn't explode this myth, it must be said: NASA didn't create Tang.
"The first things people think of are Tang, Teflon and Velcro. None of them originated with the space program," said Roger Launius, senior curator in space history at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C.
I thought the same thing until I read Captain's story.
[Phone rings] Homer: Hello, is this NASA? Scientist: Yes? Homer: Good! Listen: I'm sick of your boring space launches. Now
I'm just an ordinary, blue-collar slob, but I know what I
likes on TV. Scientist: How did you get this number? Homer: Shut up! And another thing: how come I can't get no Tang
'round here?
Also: Homer: Hello, is this President Clinton? Good! I figured if anyone
knew where to get some Tang, it'd be you. ...Shut up!

All 11 of you are either just voting like idiots for fun or you are actually idiots.
Sorry to be so harsh but seriously, c'mon, that is MORE ignorant that not believing in evolution. The whole hoax thing has been disproven like 5000 times with incontrovertible evidence. I watched a show on it about a year ago and if I could remember the name I'd post it (maybe it has already been mentioned, but I can't be bothered to look thru 7 pages of rage inducing stupidity). They really just tore to shreds every single stupid thing that anyone has said in this thread.

What I don't get is usually the people arguing about it being fake, are the ones that simply point out these "facts" from another website without arguing with any of their own evidence or logic. Why can't these people come up with an argument based on facts? Most of the people who go against the conspiracy nuts are actually quite smart with an education or at least some working knowledge of what they are talking about.
I work with a guy who watched a DVD on the moon landing being fake, and he's now 100% sure it was fake. He also thinks Bush is behind the 9/11 attacks.
I wish more people would come out in real life with comments regarding the moon landing being fake. The sooner I can tell someone is a complete idiot, the less time I have to waste talking to them.

Pfft. What an idiot. Everyone knows the NSA and the CIA were behind the 9/11 attacks. (kidding, sort of)
In reality the NSA, CIA and FBI might as well have been behind the attacks. Biggest intelligence failure in history. But that is off topic so I'll leave it at that.
Signing in from Golden, getting ready to shoot the Kicking Horse tomorrow but . . . . . in the New York Times a couple of days ago, a story on those who believe the moon landing was a hoax.
