I'm not paranoid at all. I just don't want the government to know what I'm doing in my private life.

Paranoid? Ha ha ha. The Calgary Police force is a Corporate Force and a peace force. Peace Officers are not corporate and this should be their main job for every sworn individual on the "FORCE". These are corporate laws we are talking about. By-Laws also are rules of a corporation. A by-law officer is a policy officer for the corporation. A Corporation can create it's own rules and Tax. Mayor Dave Bronconnier anyone? Increase Tax guy? Hint hint.
USA - A federal judge on Wednesday dismissed lawsuits targeting the nation's telecommunication companies for their participation in President George W. Bush's once-secret electronic eavesdropping program. In his ruling, U.S. District Judge Vaughn Walker upheld summer legislation
protecting the companies (or corporations) from the lawsuits. The legislation, which then-Sen. Barack Obama voted for, also granted the government the authority to monitor American's telecommunications
without warrants if the subject was communicating with somebody overseas suspected of terrorism.
Define Terrorism! It can be anything! Because there is no concrete definition for Terrorism, it can just be implied.
Implied wire taping. It has happened before.
WASHINGTON--
As Congress debates whether to wipe out lawsuits accusing telephone companies of allegedly illegal wiretaps, the Bush administration has argued such cooperation is key to keeping Americans safe from terrorists.
