Logitech cordless mouse
I've got one. The MX700 (awesome name).
I've been using it for a couple years and it never gave me much grief before. Now it won't charge. It has a flashing red light on top that means "put in charging cradle" but it won't connect when I put it in there. It still flashes red -- it's supposed to flash green when it's charging.
I spent 60 or 70 seconds trying to figure this out on my own but I get nowhere. The only piece of reasonable advice was "eventually rechargeable just won't take a charge anymore, so get some different rechargeable and throw 'em in there".
The batteries are Nickel Metal Hydride and came with the mouse. I have some other Nickel Metal Hydride batteries here, but they have their own charging station. I don't have any manuals, but I'm positive the manual for the batteries "don't charge these batteries in anything other than the provided charging station".
I know the batteries are the same, but for all I know they could burst into Flames if placed in the foreign charging cradle.
What say you, Great Oracle?
