I have been looking at vehicles lately and saw a couple ads on BuySell, one for a 2006 Infinity FX selling for $7,100 and another for a 2006 Volkswagen Toureg selling for $7,900. I sent an email to both on Saturday inquiring about the price and here are the replies I received within 15 minutes of each other last night.
Hi there,
I am very sorry for answering the 2006 Infiniti FX35 I had advertised for sale. I just finished the divorce, and I am very glad that I took the car, because it was my husbands most precious thing, his pride.
Here are a few details about the car:
The car has 43,359 miles (69,779 KM), the VIN# is JNRAS08U16X102378 (if you want to check the car's history report, if you do not believe it is clean and clear), runs and looks very nice, It is a smoke free car, minor door dings consistent with age. Wonderful condition, it has been garage kept. It is well maintained and it really shows up. Smooth shifting transmission, great engine too. Electrical systems are in perfect working order. AM/FM Stereo, adjustable steering wheel, air conditioning, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, CD player, center arm rest, courtesy lights, cruise control, cup holders, front bucket seats, inside hood release, leather steering wheel, map light, power door locks, power front seats, heated seats, leather seats, power mirrors, power steering, power windows, rear defroster, vanity mirrors.
The price I am asking for it is only $7,100. It may sound amazing, but it truly is an outstanding deal. I don't ask to much for the car because I just want to get rid of it ASAP, since the used it to take his girlfriend out on dates. It is bad memory and I should get rid of it. I would probably donate the money from the car to the red cross, as it seems the best solution since I don't need the 's money.
A totally rust, corrosion and flood free car. Never been in any accidents.Where are you located?
If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to ask!

Hi,
Thanks for being interested in buying my car! It`s in perfect condition,no scratches, damages and never been implicated in any accidents. It has only 146820 km and the price is $3,900 CAD.It has a clear title and free of any liens or loans, also it comes with a new set of winter tires.Because of my divorce settlement,i own this car and as a woman without driver`s license i don`t need it so i`m trying to get rid of it as soon as possible(that`s why i`m selling it so cheap). We will use eBay`s Vehicle Purchase Protection plan for our both safety,i want only legit transactions.Let me know where are you located and any other details you need about it.
Have a great day!

Yeah, here is my email from the Nissan 350Z I saw.
" Thank you for taking time to contact me.
2005 Nissan 350Z ROADSTER Convertible with 25,800 kms.
The exterior color is Black / black Leather Seats interior.
Automatic transmission. Garaged, Non-smoker.Air-conditioning
Leather Sport Steering Wheel with Steering Wheel Controls.Remote Keyless Entry System.
Clean carfax.
I only drive it on the weekends and it doesn't come out of the garage in the winter.
Is safety and e-tested. Still under warranty (expires Dec. 2012), fully transferable to the new owner.
No accident. The interior of the car is in excellent shape, extra clean. It comes with clear title no lien or lease. I make every effort to present information that is accurate on the car...
If for any serious reason you believe I did not describe this vehicle properly, or if something is truly wrong with the vehicle, not as described, I will offer one week to return the vehicle to me in the condition you received it for a full refund of the purchase.
Asking price: $4,500 (looking to sell it as quick possible).
I look forward with your toughts to discuss further.I am confident that would be a great asset to you.
Donna French"
Then I sent an email asking if I could come check it out and she sent:
" Hi ,
The car is based in Halifax. It comes with the Transfer of Ownership Document, filled up
with your name, address, odometer reading, date and signed by me. The arrival estimated time is within 24-48 hours. In the total cost is includes delivery fee and full insurance
during shipping. If something happens on the road , you will receive the insurance from the
delivery service.
I want a safe transaction and I'm sure you do also so that's why I've decided to sell my car
through eBay, they act as a third party between us and hold / insure your money, until you receive and inspect the car. You will receive the vehicle with all the documents for a 5-day inspection period. After the inspection period ends, if there are issues with the car, they will send you a full refund within 3 business days. In this case, you will ship the car back to me at my expense.
To start the official transaction, I need to know your details, full name and shipping
address. As soon as I have them I'll start the official procedure, and eBay will notify you
about this.
Thanks, Donna"
I actually have a friend living in Halifax for school. I should send an email asking if he can go check it out, see what she sends back. HAHA

If you google images her, you might get NSFW (she was pretty hot in the 80s) but nowadays her claim to fame is being a famous scientologist married to John Travolta.

I try to be sympathetic but if somebody gets ripped off online then don't be so damn stupid. I was looking for some No Doubt tickets. Where did I look? Kijji? Nope craigslist? Nope?
I found them on CP. Was that enough to safe guard my money? Nope. I noted the person has been a member here since 2004. Then still if some how I have gotten ripped off then I am willing to take that hit.
If it is a physical object that you are buying make sure you can actually go somewhere and see it touch it. Have a proof of ownership as well or whatever else you need to do to prove the guy owns it. etc etc etc...

Lol. I think that any poster on CP with more than 1000 posts would be completely mortified at the idea of being publicly exposed as a scammer to the CP masses. I know I would be. It's like I have two lives. The real world and CP.

Maybe it's her dying wish that her old man unloads the car before she can go peacefully?
