Order is officially dead; thanks for those that had put in their orders.
Will try again next year, hopefully we'll have a better turn out.

I ordered a bouwmeester jersey the day that he signed his 5yr deal with the flames. I ordered it off NHL.com and since I only wear a med or large, I received a call from a nhl.com rep and they told me I had to get his name "bouwmeester" in smaller letters and that it wouldnt look so bad or cancel the order. The reason being is because his name is too long to fit on any other jersey other then a XL +++. To tell you the honest truth it looks like crap.... I called them back to refund it. I also didnt like the silkscreen name bar and the silkscreen #4. I own over 50 jerseys and have never seen one that looked like this. So my suggestions would be to make sure that they will be able to fit the regular size letters on them and not the kiddie letters. They will probably let you guys know when you order!! go flames/sharks go!!!

What kind of jersey? RBK Premier? Where are you ordering it from? (Fan Attic? Jersey City? Asian sweatshop?!?)

Ouch. My rule is never order a customized jersey off NHL.com. I guess that's too late in this instance, but their customized product is really poor (I remember someone on CP posting photos of a Lombardi jersey he bought -- it was all screened on, including the "faux" stitching). The fact they used "kid-sized" letters is really bad -- I'm surprised (okay, not really) they even suggested it...

Bouwmeester jerseys all come with smaller letters if done right. A proper nameplate has smaller letters so that Bouwmeester will fit. Similar to proper Cammalleri jerseys or Vanbiesbrouck jerseys.

The poster can correct me if I'm wrong, but it sounds like they just used kid-sized letters (i.e. 1 1/2" or 2" tall) instead of the regular sized letters. I know that they're supposed to use "compressed" letters for longer names (same height, but narrower so you can fit more letters) -- Cammalleri had them last year and Bouwmeester had them on his jersey at the press conference...

My Panthers Bouw jersey is a small (mens) with compressed letters and it looks fine (CCM I bought at the arena).

Ok, now that we have some interest...
I'll go contact a couple vendors and see if we can get a decent deal.
Please note, that I don't have ANY prior experience with sporting goods group buys...so I wouldn't have any contacts. If anyone wants to volunteer to help out, it
would be greatly appreciated.
If we can get a fairly good deal, then we'll proceed further with official orders and cash collection. To stay transparent with the community with this process, I'm going to need a volunteer or two to help me out with this one (preferably well recognized member(s) of the boards, for accountability purposes).
I hope to have good news for you all soon (I want my jersey before the pre-season starts too).

You might want to contact http://www.triplethreatsports.com. I've ordered an Edge authentic jersey from there and was very impressed with the quality of the stitching and overall jersey and the prices are reasonable. Premier jerseys with name & number are $150US and Edge jerseys with name & number are $325US. Shipping is also reasonable.
I would be interested in ordering, but I am waiting to see if a third jersey is released this year.

In group buy situations do they all have to be Bouwmeester? I've been meaning to buy a Regehr jersey.
