Perhaps I'm missing something here ... they've split up have they not? Is he not allowed to date? When Kate gets a boyfriend will she become a beacon of strength? I don't get the infatuation with these two. Yes I see the irony of making that comment in an internet thread about them, I just don't understand!

I think there is a mathematical formula that determines the correct amount of time a person must spend alone before they find somebody else to date. I don't know what it is, but clearly Jon has violated the dates set forth by this formula.
It may not be good form on Jon's part but they are separated and going through a divorce. Sure he should be waiting until the divorce is finalized to at least publicly move on to somebody else, but he is allowed to move on. Both Jon and Kate are aware that they are over and both appeared to have been resigned to this fact for quite some time now.

How exactly do you know he's not helping them? Because he went on a vacation?

Well, I don't really know or care. It just seems kind of weird for a newly divorced dad of 30 something to be bringing home a 23 year old. Doesn't say a lot for stability or his own personal ethics. But whatever.
