Wow, this thread was doomed from the get-go.

Any particular reason why you went after Johnny Cash?

No reason. I said most celebrities are screwed. I guess it's just money and time for them?

Doesn't the myth go that Elvis actually introduced Johnny Cash to drugs in the first place?

I don't know about that, but I wouldn't be surprised. All these DR's who get a kick out of knowing a celebrity should get a stiff kick in the a**. It's a famous persons fault overall, but they would never get any drugs if it weren't for the enablers.

Cash was big if you were a fan. Even if you weren't, in the whole legacy part, he was a small guy.

While hugely talented, Jackson also benifited from the MTV craze in the 80's.

As for addiction; wouldn't you say Micheal had a little addiction to visiting the doctor and plastic surgeon. Not drugs, but something that could possibly have lead to his death none the less.
Do you actually think Cash was on the same level? The only guy that was LOWER, but close, is Elvis. Michael Jackson was a big time weirdo, but Cash, or anybody, could never hold his "jockstrap" as an entertainer.

Yeah, maybe he did, but Jackson broke that level. I can't even think of one entertainer that can reach the same audience.

Go read my first post. Cash, Jackson, AND A WHOLE LOT MORE WERE SCREWED UP.

From reading this forum, I can concede that Cash is a fan fav and jackson was a Pedophile here. It struck a nerve. I could have used any famous person in the title.

So a guy that takes a lot of drugs, etc, isn't a "weirdo"?

No.

Building your own amusement park...having a pet monkey...owning elephant man bones...having sleepovers with people 40 years your junior....getting plastic surgery to the point you don't look human...that's a "weirdo"

We are not talking about being a weirdo though. Does nobody understand that?

I'm just saying a guy like Johnny Cash, Elvis...Cannot hold Jacksons jockstrap. Never.
