Default GAME 2: STAMPS vs BLUE BOMBERS

Tough lost last week against Montreal Alouettes. Sloppy first quarter and bad turnovers late in the game.

Tonight the Stamps are in Winnipeg to play the Blue Bombers starts at 5:30pm televised on TSN.

Calgary still have a lot of injured players early this season. R Ken Yon Rambo, OL Jeff Pilon and OL Jesse Newman will start today though. Rambo and Pilon did not dress last game and Newman dressed but did not see any action.

I don't think the Stamps will take the Bombers lightly this time. Last season, they were surprised and sort of embarrassed by the Bombers. Although the Blue Bombers looks different this season, those lost still lingers on some of the veterans.

QB: Burris had a rough game last week. I can see him bouncing back this game. Burris usually are plays better after a bad game. Nealy and Tate will back him up.

RB: Reynolds is the starter. He didn't really had a lot of openings last week and definitely missed the blocking of Pilon and Newman. New guy Derek Watson will the back-up. Both Summers and Cornish are out(injuries).Rob Cote and Teyo Johnson will be the fullback.

OL: Last week we missed Pilon and Newman. This week Centre Rob Lazeo is out due to elbow injury. U of C grad Tim O'Neill will replace him on C. Antonio Hall were released in order to bring Pilon back

RECEIVERS: Rambo is back! With him and Titus Ryan on wide, i can see Lewis and Copeland getting some openings. Of course we still have Ralph and Thelwell.

DL: Stamps are reshuffling this line. Rookie speedster Odell Willis will line up on the outside and Labinjo will go inside.

LB: We'll see how Tray Blackmon responds after last week's bad defensive game overall. He was one of the bright spot on defense last week though.

DB: Brandon Smith is still out on injuries, so as JR Ruffin. Will Wpg QB go after the two rookies again (Amadi and Tate)

SPECIAL TEAM: Awesome run by Titus Ryan against the Als for a Punt Return TD. This group actually were the positive from last week. Most of their points came because of the Special Team turnover. 2 block punts (Lysack and Tristan Black). With another deep return threat in Ryan, at least we didn't have to rely on Marcus Howell on Punt Return much anymore.

Let the game begins!

The O-line back healthy is IMO key to everything else. It will be a completely different game when the offense has Reynolds running the ball and keeping the d-line honest. Ditto with Burris having time to get his reads and then time to release the ball. The defense reminds me of last season as it's going to take time to develop into a good unit. Just too many changes and some of them key ones for it not to be a work in progress.

But really in the end it's their offense that is the key to the team. They play well and they go on these long time consuming drives that keep their defense well rested. I'm hoping to see the ball get handed to Reynolds on numerous occasions and them be back holding onto to the ball.

Thanks. Teyo Johnson retired before the training camp but decided to come back before the training camp is over. Sneaky guy... I guess he just doesn't want to do those 2 a day drills.

I am actually that he is back. So far he did not play that much in the first game.

I can't believe the Bombers actually completed a trick play.

Well looks like Calgary came out without any desire to win for a second week in a row. Although the refs aren't helping with that garbage PI call.

The fact that the Bombers got 3 points at all this game is an embarrassment.

Well this game is gonna be over soon.

Calgary's D-Line is a joke. No pressure and no rush defense. I don't think we've even hit the opposing QB in 4.5 quarters.

Copeland continues where he left off last season - dropping easy 1st down passes.

Luckily it is the Bombers, so the game will never be over so long as they are in the lead, but it is a pathetic start for the 2nd week in a row.

I really don't see how that can be PI like it's not like he grabbed him. Both guys go for the ball and they bump into each other.

This sure doesn't look like a Huff-coached team here.

Come on fellas, pull your heads out.

That was a horrible Interference call.
You are entitled to position.. didn't grab, just played the ball.
Stupid CFL officiating...

Brutal start again... sigh

I don't know - it's tough to come back on any team when their QB can sit back there for 5 seconds every drop back. When we do get anything resembling pressure there's zero contain so the QB can just run for easy 1st downs.

Yes but Lefors has already shown this game that even with all day to throw he will still pass it right into the defenders hands many times a game.

Pretty stinky first quarter. Are they going to run the ball anytime soon?
