Some things I hate...

-So many damn replays. No need to watch the camera pan over the arena, the goalie stretching, the player beating the camera in the penalty box, etc etc etc. Speed the damn game up, especially online.
-When the period is done, there is no need to have the "waiting for user" screen to sit there for 2 minutes until it automatically advances. Some players are A-holes and will sit there and wait just to piss you off.
-There should be NO reason to pause the game at anytime, even if you have possession of the puck. If your phone rings, too bad. If you need to grab a drink, wait till intermission. You should be able to select your camera angle right at the beggining of the game, and THAT'S IT. Once you start, you should be locked in.
-Changing lines, offensive/defensive strategies is a real pain in the @$$. There seems to be a 2 second delay that is incredibly frustrating when trying to change on the fly. Also, if you have the line changes set to manual, why does the computer still change it occasionally? I hate how it seems to LOVE to throw out the 4th line at the worst times. What's the point of manual line changes if the computer overrides it half the time?
-I hate how 99% of the time, I am in front of the net and my player will MISS on a one-timer from right in the slot. I know it happens occasionally in real life, but common. No NHL caliber player should miss an empty net from 1 foot out.
-Players who try and do the same move over and over again is annoying. But I don't usually get to concerned about that, as I simply position my players better to counter that move.
-Some of the penalties are pure BS. Although I get frustrated when I do the stick lift (hi stick penalty sometimes) that is my own fault and I can chose to not do it. But when I do a poke check, and when I pull my stick back it pulls the opposing player down, that is BS. Maybe if I do a 360 poke check and it gets caught in the legs I should get a penalty. But not when i am trying to poke check the puck ,and it magically knocks a player down. Also some of the charging, boarding and elbowing calls are waaaaay off. I guess what I'm trying to say is less harsh refs...but I suppose that is just like real life too.

I hate this game with a passion. Yet I play it every time I play my xbox. It's worse then a crack addiction. All the above things piss me off about it, but mainly how there are so many replays and the pausing. Anything that speeds up the online game play would be greatly appreciated.

That is all.

Oh ya, thanks for reminding me. My favorite is how someone will shoot the puck from the redline, it slowly rolls on the goalie. If an opposing player is comming for the puck, the goalie won't dive and cover it, but rather let it hit them, leaving a massive rebound that magically goes in. Or when the puck is sitting in the crease and instead of pouncing on it, he sits there like an idiot.

also..when the puck is on the line and they call it a goal when it clearly never crossed the line.

One time the other team had a delayed penalty against them. Meaning when they TOUCH the puck, the whistle blows. The puck sat near my goal line, but instead of my goalie, you know, pouncing on the puck like real life, he just stood there with his legs against the post. An opposing player skated up and poke checked the puck into the net. Why was it a goal you ask???? LOL I dunno. I could maybe understand if it was a glitch, but the most insulting part was that 2 other players got an assist on it!!

As you can tell I have some real pet peeves with this game, and I'm not kidding when I say I hate it. But it's like crack, I keep comming back for more...

Haahaha yah it is addicting....but i just love beating people who play cheap like when they skate back into their own zone when im on the PP and attempt to play keep away. When they do that i usually just take the puck when i get the lead and never give it up.

Does anybody ever try to set up a versus game with a friend only to find out you can't change teams when you get to that screen? So frustrating!

Yah that happens once in a while and i hope they fix all the kinks up in NHL 10 especially the penalties..seems like the refs are after Calgary in NHL 09 too.

Replays. The day EA removes replays is the day I go to their studio and personally deliver each member of the dev. team a Ferrari F430.
