Not sure of the name, but yes it will be in the TB range; and will support 1440p resolution, or the one that's coming after that- something in the 1900p range.

True enough, the format is capable of the same audio however I haven't really seen any of the cheap (i.e. $5) come with uncompressed tracks. But yeah, picture quality wise you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference.

They aren't making new HD DVDs. I think they are just trying to clear out very old stock.

If you do, I think I have Dark Side of the Moon, Aerosmith Rocks, Yes Fragile and BTO's greatest hits on 8-track somewhere in my basement, they're yours for a nickel a piece.

No, look it up. We are in High-Definition now. Apparently there is "Super Hi-Def", which is the 1440, and then 1900 range is like "Ultra Hi-Def"
Look up holodisc on wikipedia.

Woo hoo.
Got the player and over 20 movies. Nothing better than watching harry potter in hi-def for 5 bucks.
BTW anyone have any old movies they'd be willing to part with for 5 dollars or less?
