The oldest two were Rowe's the baby was by surrogate I think.
Regardless, who raised the children? They have parents. Are not the parents of a child those who raise him/her?

Cochran basically told him he better not settle out of court for that second trial. I media member from CBS who sat in on the 2nd trial said it was such a joke and the prosecution has no case whatsoever if you were there everyday.
I don't know. If I was that big of a star and some kid threw those charges at me, would I want a long OJ like trial that would hurt my career even more than it would be already? All of his advisors told him to settle as quick as he could or his career could be all over.
Michael brought it upon himself though. No normal adult would bring kids over like that if they weren't their own or their families. very Naive and dumb. Seemed like he just lived ina fantasy world.
If he was guilty, those parents of the kid are sick to settle out of court. I'd take the guy to trial first.

Just like how all murderers are such nice people, according to their families. They never could have committed murder. They never could have murdered their wife/husband because they were so devoted to them.

If you were actually molested, surely to god you would know if the guy was circumsized....

I'm not a betting man, but I'm sure if I was being molested, I'd have a tough time remembering a lot of things.

This is Jacko we're talking about. He went from a black man to a white woman. Going from circumcised to not circumcised is like child's play in comparison.

And how many 13 year olds know the difference between circumsized and non-circumsized.... especially if said penis is fully erect.
I know when I was that age I didn't know the difference.

A kid given jesus juice.
Can we officially say this is the new OJ type argument?
I loved his music, I feel horrible for his kids and sympathy for his friends/family.
But I do think he was probably doing inappropriate things with boys, I could be wrong but I certainly think theres something to all this.
I'm sure in the next few years or even decade we'll slowly hear more things about him that will shed more light either way.
Now that this remembrance is over we can actually focus on news that matter, like whats going on in Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Russia, etc..
Seems like most of the news channels are becoming indistinguishable from annoying entertainment TV shows.

I tend to think the allegations against Jackson are true, but none of us know for sure. Still, I don't think there is anything wrong with being vocal about it.
It's true that when someone is rich, they become a target for people who want to take advantage of them, but at the same time, people who are famous and loved by many often get the benefit of the doubt more than they ought to.
For example, if Michael Jackson was some hillbilly in a trailer with a long yellow beard who liked to "share his bed" with children and had sleep overs with little boys, would we all be so willing to give the benefit of the doubt? I bet practically everyone here, even the Michael Jackson lovers, would probably think something was up.

I guess, he must have heard that the kid was making allegations and suspected that the kid would give a deposition stating that he was circumsized and then undid the circumcission and had a piece of skin put in its place.
What I find odd is that no criminal charges were ever filed. A DA who gets that conviction would be an automatic frontrunner for Attorney General, seems like a pretty good career move to me. The evidence from that kid must have been incredibly weak for the DA not to file criminal charges upon confirmation that the kid had a credible story.

The kid was not a credible witness, plain and simple. The DA would have prosecuted otherwise, they would have filed charges. Jackson made the mistake of saying f*^k it, I am worth a billion at the time, I will throw 20 million at this kid to make it go away. It was just the second kid's misforture that Jackson had next to no money at the time for extortion purposes. The first kid had good timing, plain and simple. But I heard he invested it all in Enron, tough break for the little guy.

Proving sexual assaults, especially anything after 24 hours that it happened, is extremely difficult.
All I know, is if I was accused of it and was innocent, I would use all the resources available to me to prove it. I would't pay a cent of hush money to anyone.

All I know is that if my kid was sexually assaulted I would not take a dime. I would press criminal charges and hope that the guy did some serious time for hurting my son. And then I would go for the millions in civil court.

You do understand that money can pretty much buy you anything in the legal system right? I bet the dad knew that Jackson might be able to buy his way out of getting into any real trouble and decided to take the money. Crushing MJ in court? Or being about to support your family for the rest of your and their lives? Counselling is cheap, and there is no guarantee that putting MJ in jail would have given the kid closure.

WOuld you? You would put your young child through years of Lawyers and Prosecuters grilling him in a very public trial. Not to mention having to put him on the stand and having everyone try and tell him he is lying.
You would put him through the trail, and have him re-live that incident everyday for a couple years.
Or would you take 20 mill and try to make his life better.
Either way MJ still went down on him.

More info about the parentage of MJ's children..
http://adoption.about.com/b/2009/06/...s-children.htm
Quote:
It's being speculated that neither Debbie Rowe or Michael Jackson are the two eldest children's biological parents, but Michael may be presumed the father. There is a question as to if he needed to formally adopt the children, which he didn't. Debbie Rowe may have been a gestational surrogate and not a traditional surrogate.
Prince "Blanket" Michael II's, surrogate mother was never identified. It's reported that Michael Jackson's lawyer picked up the child from the hospital when he was only a few days old.
|
Quote:
The courts will be looking at what is in the children's best interest when determining who should gain permanent custody. The children's attachments and emotional bonds will be considered.
