I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.

Its amazing no miners were killed. That's a pretty significant event. I can't believe I've never heard anything about this until now.

A 14 inch drill bit caused the gulf of mexico to flow north. That's insane.

Crazy. Really cool story.

Did anyone else think the waaay over-the-top dramatic music in that clip was ridiculous?

Just out of curiosity, why/how did you end up finding this particular article?

My guess is he was googling info on Edmonton and the Oilers; using the words that we would all use like "sinkhole" and "disaster."

Weird, I just watched yesterday on youtube, totally unrelated. I've seen it too many times, but each time it still amazes me.

Here's another cool one on top of the mud one mentioned above. Geologists were exploration drilling and hit a large natural gas pocket. They then set it aflame. Been burning for at least 35 years. Make sure you watch video, it truly does look like the Gate to Hell.

I just want to create a giant spit, put it over top, and have the world's largest bbq.

A co-worker sent me the link - I, like many of you, were stunned to hear of it...
