Default CP Lawyers - Tax Advice

I've got a friend who has managed to get herself into quite the tax situation. If anyone here is a tax lawyer and will let her pick your brain, pm me your phone number and I'll pass it along.

Tax law can be fairly specific.

You know Locke, speak with him and he will let you know if a lawyer is necessary.

Not that I suggest the Locke > lawyer (god forbid) just that people who work with a lot of tax issues will generally have a good idea how to proceed, there are more of them than Tax Lawyers, they are much cheaper than tax lawyers, and you happen to play baseball with one.

Exactly what I was going to say. Unless it's tax law, an accountant is a better person to ask, I'd think. I can handle some tax questions. PM me if you wish. Otherwise there are accountants on here.

To be fair, I play baseball, we spend most of our time rolling 4x4 out of the bed of his truck.

Yeah man, you can PM me with some info and I can likely tell you where she has to go from there.

A tax lawyer will help her structure her holdings (trusts, incorporation, etc) to help minimize tax exposure, but an accountant can definitely help her with more 'nitty gritty' emergency situations.

Yeah, the only time our firm uses lawyers is if something goes to tax court.

I'm pretty sure she'll need a lawyer. Maybe a corporate lawyer.

Well your ball team appears to be a wealth of info, even just to let you know which direction to get started.
