Why did the US make substitutions after the goal? The way Brazil has been playing since the half wouldn't it make more sense to sub in players before the (inevitable) goal?

I think they were going to come on at the next stoppage of play... which turned out to be the goal...

Dammit. It would have been nice to see the USA beat Brazil. I hated whoever did the play-by-play for the CBC (some British guy). He was practically having an orgasm when Brazil scored their third goal.
Not at all, as I've said, I would rather start with LA over any of the other WC playoff teams. Bunch of underachievers who look good on paper but don't even deserve to be in the playoffs.
Wow....that was fun! I was worried for a while until Brazil started lining up to fire shots at the American keeper.
FIFA has the shots at 31-9 for Brazil. No one gets 31 shots in a game, but it listed the shots on net as 13-4 which is still pretty high. Flattering scoreline for the Americans.
Typical Brazil though, mailed it in until they had to show up.

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.
The second US goal is one of the best counter-attacking goals you'll ever see. They went the entire field at full speed in 3 passes. Touch-touch-touch, bang!
