I was a little upset until I realized that I was actually thinking of a combination of Billy Ocean and Willie Mays.

Wow, thats pretty crazy. Has anyone else been watching Pitchmen lately? It's not a bad little show, but this surely puts an end to it.

Mays was on a flight yesterday that had the tires blow out upon landing. No serious injuries to anyone, but if he hit his head pretty good it's not unfathomable that it could've been a closed head injury that caused his death.

Life is fleeting.

He finally popped a blood vessel in his brain from all the shouting.

What the hell is with this past week?

Sad to see another life lost, poor guy. Condolences to his family.

Oh man. And Rome's in the basement for two weeks. Boo, Billy. You had to do it while Rome's on vacation?

His son seems like a really good kid too (he was assistant producer, or something like that, on his shoots). I didn't know the guy of course, but having watched Pitchmen all year and seeing all the people around him, this definitely makes it feel a little bit sadder.

At least he wasn't in the basement this past week. We can wait until his return for this one.

I actually finally listened to Rome yesterday when he did his MJ monologue. I tend not to listen to his show much during the summer, but I'm glad I caught Friday's.

Huh, I never realized that he was a local kid. McKees Rocks is less than 10 minutes from my house.

What is it about celebrity deaths that makes everyone so aware of their mortality and the fragility of life? Isn't regular life bad enough?

Rough week for those in the news: Ed McMahon, Romeo LeBlanc, Farrah Fawcett, Michael Jackson, Billy Mays.

Or a really good week for CNN and the like. I mean is the recession over? Violence in Iran ended?

Say what you want about him, but the man could pitch a product and make infomercials.

When I saw him on tv I would immediately change the channel. For me he was a very ineffective pitch man.

I wonder how many others would NOT buy anything that he pitched just because he was so annoying.
