Koskie has been activated. To make room Chad Gaudin. The timing couldn't be better as the Jays need Koskie's veteran presence now. I would also suggest Aaron Hill could use a day off as he's really struggling right now at the dish.

Also this:

Meanwhile, Halladay threw Tuesday and general manager J.P. Ricciardi said the 14-5 right-hander would be back not later than Aug. 5-7 for a series against the New York Yankees.

Halladay suffered a fractured left tibia bone July 8 at Texas that was expected to keep him out four to six weeks.

''I think worst-case scenario with Doc is the Yankees series, the best case scenario is probably before that,'' said Ricciardi. ''We've got to see how he is the next day after he does stuff.''

That's not too far away!

News less certain re. Lilly.

They were saying during the Jays/Angels game (Jays are dominating ) that there's a chance he might get one of the starts against the White Sox next week.

Now that Koskie is back, the next question is what will the Jays do? Will they make a trade? Send Hill to Triple AAA? I just do not believe you can scratch this kid every second day or so. They either play him or send him down.

What will the Jays do? Simple, Hillenbrand at 1st Koskie at 3rd and Hill as DH. Then vice versa for some games. Hinske will sub in when needed

I disagree, Hill is a rookie he needs to play. If the only plan is to put Hill at DH I believe he would be better off at Triple AAA getting playing time at a position. Hill is to young to be labelled the DH.

There could also be a trade in works that sends a pitcher back our way? I don't see Hill playing first, or him DH. Maybe Hill at SS, Hillebrand 1st? I have no idea how Hill is a SS though.

Plenty of ways to get Hill to get at bats and time in the field, paricularly with John Mac dealt. He can play short, 3rd, or DH. Basically everynight 3 of Hillebrand, Adams, Hill and Hinske are going to play in the game so that means that 75% of the time Hill should be in there which is enough playing time I think.

Hill is so versatile he'll defintley get enough playing time.

The Jays really can't do much else, I mean you can't trade Shea he's been our best player this year, Koskie has been injured and just signed a long term contract in the offseason with a no trade so he's not movable either. Then you got Hill who mind you has been struggling a little but still, he's batting over .300 and is just going through a common rookie slump.
