And I would say a fair number of people agree with you Rube.
According to Wiki Thriller is the only album with world wide sales of over 100M. The next closest is LESS than 50M.
It isn't quite that high on RIAA listings but they are effing lame so I don't even care what those aholes say.

So? They're still wicked, and worthy of "repeat" play.

Yeah, I consider myself a pretty big music snob but I think Michael was great. He's also one of those artists you listen to on your own or bust it out at a party and EVERYBODY at the party goes ape. I love the blues, but people don't exactly get enthusiastic when you bust out the Howlin' Wolf at a rage.

One of the talking heads on TV said it best earlier....
"he never had a childhood and as such he never learned to be an adult"
Then another one said that worldwide he has sold over 700 Million albums....which i actually have a hard time beleiving. But if true, those numbers will just increase now.

Oop, bad connection with Kenny Rogers on "Larry King Live". We'll never know what Kenny thinks and that's the real tragedy.

I wasn't there for the Friday night when the music was going. Everybody was pretty well done by the time I really got geared up on Saturday.

I'm not even a very big MJ fan and I've purchased Thriller at least three times (most recently, the 25 year edition). 700 million doesn't surprise me.

Nobody will equall what MJ has done for music. History has proven that and will continue to prove it. Pioneer, Trend setter, Iconic, Legend, Timeless. There has not been a artist that influenced so many other artists even today that give creditation to MJ.

Van Gogh cut off his ear, stuck it in a box and gave it to his girlfriend.
His paintings are considered some of the greatest masterpieces in the world.
Seems pretty easy to separate stuff to me.
