			Quincy Jones issues a statement:

	Quote:

"I am absolutely devastated at this tragic and unexpected news. For Michael to be taken away from us so suddenly at such a young age, I just don't have the words.
Divinity brought our souls together on The Wiz and allowed us to do what we were able to throughout the 80's.
To this day, the music we created together on "Off The Wall," "Thriller" and "Bad" is played in every corner of the world and the reason for that is because he had it all…talent, grace, professionalism and dedication.
He was the consummate entertainer and his contributions and legacy will be felt upon the world forever."

How exactly is Karma a bitch in this case? Regardless of the allegations against him being fact or fiction, the man was a once-in-a-lifetime talent who honed his skills from a young age, became a household name, performed to millions of millions of people all over the world, and was effing rich.

But yeah, Karma's a bitch.

CNN just confirmed from authorities that Michael Jackson is dead.
Thanks for being quick on that, CNN. <sarcasm>

A young age? come on, he started at the age of 11 and went till he was 50 .. not exactly a young age.

^ Um, do you know how old Quincy Jones is? He was born in 1933.

And if Cher can still perform, then Michael could have as well.

I don't care what anyone says, MJ is classic and legendary, and his music is wicked. This is a very very sad day.
RIP MJ, you will be missed.

He might as well have been dead for the last decade - what's the last album he put out (that anyone bought)? I think it's a lot sadder that someone who once was the biggest talent in music ended up as a pathetic lonely man apparently unable to relate to anyone other than children.

I wouldn't call myself a fan of any of his songs, but for those who were, what a disappointment it is that he decided turning in on himself was preferable to engaging with the world, and making good new music. He died somewhere around 1990 and not 2009 as far as I am concerned.

its young when your parents are burying you.
and 50 is just a little bit over half of what most people live.

RIP MJ, i never believed those accusations anyways. i hope he rest in peace now that there aren't people coming after him for his money anymore and judging him and whatnot.

Wow. It's his death day. Get a grip people. Know one here knows him personally, you don't know the real truth. Some pretty rude comments in here.
Give the man his death day for god sake!
And try not to be too jealous that he was such a giant legend for over a quarter of a century, something of which none of us will ever be.

You don't have to like his music or be a fan, but, you can at least appreciate the phenom that he was for so long. Not many people in the world can say they've accomplished what he has.

I'm surprised to see that people would think this. What makes you say that? He was crazy but I'd be shocked if it ever came out that he went that far, but then again I always think of him from his glory days, not what he turned himself into.

Thriller was the first record I ever owned. I remember playing it endlessly on my Mickey Mouse record player over and over and over again. I swear I wore out poor Micky's arm I played it so much.
And I still get teary-eyed when I hear "Man in the Mirror". Brilliant song that one.
I'll admit that this news makes me sad. Kind of like I've lost a piece of my childhood.
Rest in peace.

He was training with Lou Ferrigno to get in shape for a 50 date tour that was to launch in July. 750,000 tickets had already been sold.

he was hardly insignificant any longer as far as his career goes.

That is a little extreme. I don't care that he's dead, but I'm certainly not happy. It isn't like we're talking about Kevin Lowe here.

thats what I think too.

you know i have this hunch inside me that one day if i ever become multi billionaire rich i will have alot of problems from people from my past
"oh you owe me this for this one time in grade 5"
"he raped me when we were 18" (not rape but you know had sex with a girl and now turns around on me to be rape) blah blah
everyone will find a way for an easy cash grab.

what did the first parent get paid out for his/her settlement out of court with michael?
